So Why Do Orks Get Extra Survivability Again?

  1. It really would not be difficult to implement Ground assault able to capture. Simple enough, don't allow capture key and shield to be equipped on same load out.
  2. Still think they need to mix up the starting stats more:

    LSM should have highest Armor value of all the races. Same HP/Toughness Like 135 armor or something.

    CSM should have 2nd highest Armor value and a small boost in toughness for "warp mutations" 115 armor/105/110 Toughness

    Eldar should have current stats for the most part, MAYBE a 10-20HP loss but overall I think they're ok

    Orks should have highest health and lowest armor, like 80 Armor and a small toughness buff on par with CSM.

    As far as the "bigger hit box" and heads argument goes, I honestly have no easier time aiming at them then CSM. In fact I find their small size HARDER to hit if anything, considering they poke out less when hiding.

    Also their head size means nothing in melee, so 50+ hp is pure benefit. It also means nothing when 90% of the time I'm shooting at them is from the side, or back. So essentially they get a 100% full time benefit of 50+ hp, for a 10% chance per encounter you may actually shoot their heads.

    Shit I'll GLADLY take 50+ hp for even a 150% dmg increase from head shots.

    Should but ain't going to happen. Too much work and testing involved.

    I think at this point they should hand the game over to the community, from the games I've played that has done this, it works miracles.

    They seem to continually ignore the people who spend more man hours playing and knowing the game, then they have spent working on it.

  6. Why do Orks get free power armor toughness? Bolts are made to rip them apart right? I mean, make up for it elsewhere, but why the natural resistance to bolts and chainswords?

    We can't balance this like the table top because we don't have a mob of orks we have to balance it for a 1-1 ratio.

    As to the OP just do a little research and you'll see that the devs had stats where orks were getting head shot around 80% more than other races because the placement of the head. They made the head shot box slightly smaller and that didn't give enough of a boost to their survival so they gave them +50 health on top of it which put them on a much more balanced state when paired to lsm/csm/eldar.

  8. Eh, just thought it would be fair. Don't think of it as power armor toughness, think of it as orky grit? Pain suppression? I mean..they are fungus after all. Do they even feel pain?

    Also, while it's true you can't headshot an Ork in melee, I assure you that our body hitboxes are definitely wider than anyone elses. Melee arc detection is pretty generous and will easily find an Ork body hitbox even when aimed super poorly.

    We also suffer from friendly clanging more than any other race because of our dopey large hitboxes heh.

    The thing about their heads isn't how big or hard to hit their heads is. It's about where their heads are located on their bodies. Because their heads are in front of their torsos and not above them, a lot of attempted headshots that would ordinarily miss to the left or right instead hit them in the torso.

    So it's not that their heads are really any harder to hit, it's that no one's aim is perfect, shooter game fans are kinda trained to go for headshots due to the typical damage multiplier and missing their head is much more likely to still deal damage than it is on most video game characters.

    Because for the past 5 months they've been more concerned about overpowering CSM, Eldar and Orks to give any time or work on LSM, the..most popular faction in WH40k. Who new players flock, yet stop playing because of the lack of uniqueness and poor win rate due to being ignored.

    But hey who gives a shit about sales and player base right? As long as Orks have their 50+ Hp, instant power attack charge and Eldar with their crap.

    But please by all means make RoF nerfing a TOP priority.
