I usually just deliver a few power attacks into an Ork. They take a bit longer to die, but they still die.
no yor are wrong if you have a orks that have same stat of a SM with 250hp instead 200 and move faster as a Eldar ... can you understand why ppl QQing in this post ? this is not balance . maybe CMS/SM = 200 / 100 / 100 Eldar = 200 / 100 / 80 Orks = 250 / 50 /100 ( and no they can't move fast like eldar )
All of this only applies to rank 1 newbs. No game is balanced for beginners. How about the fact that LSM can effectively stack more armor than orks with faster armor regen speed at rank 5. Who the hell thinks orks move fast as eldar? I guess not anyone playing an ork vs eldar.
Except Overwatch. And Chess. And Go. And literally any game where there is neither horizontal nor vertical progression.
Orks aren't faster than eldar and you have to include weaponry in your conclusion as well. Orks have benefitial HP amounts to be able to close the gaps between them and their opposite since they have actually no real weapon which is even as effective on longrange and even on midrange than their counterpart in other factions. Personally I think it's fine how it is right know except for the too fast heavy strike mechanic on ork side.
In fact there is no real long range fight in this game. I know. But compared to a bolter with heavy barrel and textured grip, orc shoota is not even half as effective but having even DPS in very close range from time to time. Not speaking about beeing unable to aim correctly for the head or at least the upper body of the target with ork weapons...

Frankly, skill is something that applies to every game and the only way to ever balance around it is to have some sort of MMR system that tries to pit people of similar skill levels against each other. And I don't think that EC's population is big enough to accommodate a system like that without making queue times ridiculous.
I agree, However I was only pointing out balancing based on rank 1 stats makes no sense when you can be max rank relatively quickly. LSM has the highest armor potential between ork,csm,lsm.
