I will probably roll an Iyanden Dark Reaper or Ulthwe Dark Reaper as my secondary character. Because God dang dangit Dark Reapers are probably the best single unit in the game. My last army was a special themed piece on the Reaper Temple of Altansar com plete with Guardian "Neophytes", specially outfitted vehicles and Maugan Ra bringing up the fore with an interchangable Reaper Autarch in tournie play.
I am probably just going to stick with Guardian, something about being that dependable soldier just appeals to me.
its going to be interesting to see how they do ranking in this game with everything because if I'm a warlock but I just started I don't think I would take orders from a guardian, obviously there is going to something there but its going to be cool to see what that is
Guardians aren't playable currently. Source. Dire Avengers, on the other hand, are our go-to, standard, dependable soldier in EC as of right now; I shall be joining you as one given how few Dire Avengers we appear to have. Also, you're a Necron primary playing Eldar at launch, am I correct? If so...that's quite the turn to take.
Well the Eldar race art seems to depict Guardians with Reapers, Guard and Warlocks so it's the best idea of what will be playable right now seeing as how the other Race arts seem to be accurate in portraying who/what is playable.
A dev said that the picture only represent the craftworld colors, for now guardians are not playable and dire avengers are.
Damn... And well as for the necron thing, I am a necron at heart true. I just can't bring myself to go with the two most overplayed and overwritten factions in the whole universe. Plus the space marines are going to have more 6 year olds then they know what to do with. That leaves the orkz and eldar, and I ain't one for stompin'.
