Admittedly, Nihale, I was snooping about wondering who you were and why I had not seen you around on the forums at all before. Now it's clear you don't really know me either. It's cool. I tricked Urist and several others too. (EDIT: and Urist beat me to the punch by a minute anyway, fancy that.)
Oh I can see story of your life as a young seer /also read trough it myself / and you deceived me oh Warmaster! I should bow before you as a Lore Keeper of our kind! You even fooled my master for which I shall gave you my deepest respect, these eyes never seen one whom almost claimed victory above Urist's mind! I accept that your outlook serves you well showing important slices of your life, but still you could wield our kinds appearance to show our race's glory to the lesser creatures of the galaxy! //
Actually, I stumbled upon this treasure trove of Eldar words (not sure if fanon or canon) but apparently there is another word for human. It's "Cresistauead". Link of site = http://thefallenprinces.blogspot.com/2010/08/eldar-dictionary.html
I do appreciate the sentiment, though you needn't bow as I'm simply not vain enough to feel worthy of such accolades. ^_^ I could change the avatar...but they think me friendlier to them because of my appearance, and thus shaping their futures in our favor becomes much easier to implement. I added the Eldar rune a few days ago to help a little, which Farseer Urist found endlessly amusing. If you need a title, name, or honorific for me to go by, then I'm Autarch Selhiat, given I'm one of a few who qualify to hold the title because of the Myriad Shrines, and Selhiat is my character name. Nonetheless, I guarantee you 'Warmaster Nate' and this avatar have helped many other persons find and work with me online so I would be hard-pressed to change things now. ^_^
I was starting to wonder why was there a picture of a Guardsmen with an Eldar rune and I thought you were a Xeno-loving IG and I imagined how the Inquisition would react to that. xD
As promising as this is, I can't see any sources that link this to official materials. That's what makes me question it's canonity. As for another word for the Human race, I think it's more than likely that the Eldar tongue has one. Remember, "Mon'Keigh" is (or was) used for any species deemed inferior - admittedly, it has somewhat changed it meaning and now refers primarily to the Humans. So if "Cresistauead" is canon, then it's probably a rather old word. And saying something is "old" by the standards of the Eldar means it's pretty damn old.
Yeah. I wish there was a document where everything you need to know about Eldar lore can be found. Not like a Codex(which is more like a rulebook for the tabletop) but like an entirely new book on Eldar culture, deeper historical focus, language etc.
