    Hi all,

lately I have been watching some good videos made by certain amount of you tubers + reading lots of negative comments made about the game on steam.

Now then from what I have seen the game looks really good and it doesn't seem to reflect what I have been reading review wise.
What I am trying to get at here is that I haven't bought the game yet due to the negativity that seems to surround it regarding performance and balance issues and what I would like from you peeps is an honest say on the matter.

The videos I have been watching were made by Master Valrak and I thought that it all looked pretty good. Is he one of the lucky ones? or does the game actually play and run well after all.

So then some honesty is appreciated here as I am certainly veering towards buying the game.

Runs well for most players, however there is a couple of extremely vocal ones constantly complaining about all weird issues I've never experienced personally.

If you're unsure, wait for a sale and get it then, if you love 40k and aren't fun of space marines, you'll love the game.
If you plan to play space marines-DON'T, you'll have most unpleasent and salty game experience since MOBA existence. If you plan to play anything else then LSM and like what you see on youtube and streams, go for it.

2 things though, you NEED very good PC and at least decent ISP.

I wouldn't unless you find it on sale.

When you say "Good" pc and Isp, what specs would you recommend?
My ISP is very good but my pc is
    Asus ROG laptop
    i7 , 8gb ram with a 960m gpu.
My desktop only has an i3 + 8gb ram but has a decent 1060 gtx gpu.

Your desktop will most certinly NOT handle it without good i5 at lest as the game is pretty CPU heavy.

At work I have i5 2500K, 8gb ram and GTX750 and can run EC on med/low settings, its playable, but it wouldn't be enjoyable to me on the long run.

At home I have i5 6600K, 16gb ram and GTX980ti and can run maxed out at 70+ FPS outside of fortress maps.

Thanks for the info, it sounds as though it would be a bad idea for me then. Thanks for the honesty.

    Cheers

If you have plans for upgrading later down the line, check it out again then. They have plans to constantly up date the game for a long time to come so if you think it looks good now, you might like the look of it even more when you're ready to upgrade.

Also It should be F2P in the coming months so you will be able to try before you buy.

That's some good info thanks. I always wondered why my comp ran E.C. so well when everyone else had soo many problem. I've never had any fps issues or much lag really, even with the lowest price range for my ISP. MY pc specs are very similar to your home rig. My laptop Is RoG but the specs are almost identical to my PC so I've never had to run E.C. on anything than the highest setting.

Just for clarity, is this a laptop you'd be running this on? i.e. your '960m' is the mobile version of the 960?
Edit: You clearly said that it is, yes.

I feel you might struggle if that's the case, yes. A full-blooded 960 would run the game without too many problems, so long as you're content to reduce a few of the settings. That said, however, the game doesn't look good enough to justify the performance hit.

If it's more the teamplay that would interest you, then I think the game has plenty to offer. Despite what Katitof says above, if you like Space Marines, your experience should be okay, so long as you join a guild as soon as you're able.

@Hellmut34 If you can decide in the next 26 hours, you have it on Humble Bundle for 17$US, which imo is a decent price for the game.
Given the fact that I've played it a good 500h+, I'd say it's been totally worth it so far. I've had plenty of fun, even though it's clear the game still needs polishing.

Yes, if you're looking for teamplay, I highly suggest you join a guild (any faction really), and get a mic. That helps a lot!
