Personally I would love to visit a shrine built to chaos, or a long lost Eldar ruin. (Inquisition is watching.........) Maybe even a crashed Space Hulk ( Is that possible?) What are some places you would love to see, battle at, and ultimately lay claim to?
Would love to fight in a Hive City, or fighting in necron crypts; but the biggest place I would want to fight in would the Holy Terra itself during the siege.
I wish to fight in the demented domains of several Chaos Gods. A setting befit the slaughter of Heretics. On the other hand, reading about fighting in a Hive City in DecisiveRaindrop's post compels me enough to say I would just as well battle in Armageddon. The Hive City Helsreach would be a great landscape for war; wasteland surrounding the city, urban warfare in the thick of the city, a port on the east end, and a single highway spanning the city. I feel the makings of a great battlefield in Helsreach.
I would love to visit Carcharias and the destroyed fortress of the extinguished Crimson Consuls. I feel that it would be a setting that could easily be seen in this type of warfare. Chaos came, destroyed, took over. Imagine though, a ruined fortress monastery on a blizzard death world. Also there are tons of tunnels underneath where tribes and monster lurk, as well as hive cities just above, but connected to, said tunnels.
Destroyed manufactorium with half the machines still functional.... but look-out, their machine spirits are corrupted and they're hungry for flesh!
