I cling to the most random of statements, I kno, but have you tried regular choppa axe with impact handle? That baby breaks swords in 3 clangs, chain and poweraxes in 5-6 (I've done it in prolonged duels). And not to mention the 100% frontal stun with strong attack, opens you right up for another fast attack with which I've downed red armor marines (relic is it?). Penetration mod included.
I have. Impact Clubba does the same and at least feels faster (didn't test it properly, with timers un' gubbins) - so you react faster, you engage faster, you break their weapons and their faces faster. It's also sneakier, since it's underused and harder to spot, and you get RoF gits trying to outclang you on a regular basis. Impact Choppa gives you much more speed, manoeuvrability and regular free life steal. Chainchoppa makes cool sounds. Axe is just... there. I can make it work, but it's like gluing an aquilla and a tiny helmet to your dick and telling your wife that he now stands for the Emperor - fun, but rather pointless and, in the end, painful. I think it too situational, since Axe heavy is quite long to charge and easy to spot. And don't even get me started on the gits that run in front of you in the last moment so that they hit da humie with their kanon melee. Also, if I get a git a heavy in the face with my Choppa, I can usually kill him anyway, with roughly the same TTK and much, much more room for error. And with Clubba I at least feel faster. With Axe... well... nah. I'd pick a Klaw over it, since with it I can at least krump trukks and whatnot.
First of all, Axe > Spiky dildo. The aestethics are enough to make the choice clear for me. But I agree the impact clubba is a potent weapon, it just imo doesn't add anything to what the axe has, maybe is even weaker (I'll explain below). Axe and club are definitely the same speed and range, no doubt there. Axe does more damage (132 compared to 122 I think?) and has a bit less impact/durability. BUT... what does it matter if with axe impact mod you have a guaranteed stun on frontal strong attacks? You have that "perk" the same as with the club. Can't say for sure if there are noteworthy clang advantages with the club, I can just say I love easily breaking and then executing powersword spammers by the dozens with the axe. The main reason why axe has advantage over the club is the aforementioned damage difference. A strong + fast attack combo with modded axe is enough to kill all marines when you're flanking and a good part of them even from the front. Clubba has like 20+ less strong attack damage and that's enough not to be able to 2-shot them. You say its hard to land a frontal axe strong attack? I agree, harder than RMB spam definitely. But it is really not THAT hard to get to a sweetspot range from an opponent and leap at him while out of reach of his fast attack. If he clangs with fast attack LOL at him cause he just kicked himself out of the fight by losing all durability. To summarize, Axe choppa w. penetration and impact mods costs 270LP and is situationally better than Electrified choppa because of 30 spare LP and more impact (100% stun on strong and earlier sword breaking) and better than Clubba because of killing in 1 hit less.
You and eldar are suffering what I líke to call "post overpowered hungover" People on those factions were so used to easy wins and anihilate the other factions without effort That now they still act as if they were overpowered, now you have to think twice and use strategy choose your engagments etc. That and of course fotm players,líke those guildless players who claim to play all the factions When they are acused of beign biased on the forums
I don't think so. I never used the strong attack spam exploit, that ain't my bag. So I had no reliance on the major nerf we took. We don't have to think about how to engage, we have to outnumber our enemy and pray they aren't using certain weapons. Clearly you're speaking from the perspective of someone who has played very little as an Ork. I suggest you play a few games and let me know your thoughts because I would be very surprised if you believed us balanced. @EatableRockWings I appreciate you're trying to help with the tips and thank you for them but I'm an experienced player, I know we should engage in groups and how to sneak behind someone for a kill in melee, I use the klaw so I've had no choice but to learn lol. It is possible (though still difficult) to beat a sword user, if I switch my weapon and take a certain loadout. I've known this for a while too. I don't like this, why should I have to take a particular weapon to be effective? Why doesn't my 500lp klaw work as it's supposed to? Why should I have to limit the teams AV options to be competitive? Fuck that.
My ork is rank 3 and brent said biggest imbalance is betwen Lsm and csm,the other are almost balanced,Last twitch he said That and they know better than us what is balanced and what is not
Rank 3 takes all of ten games. Have you played recently? Since the latest patch? I dare say when Brent gave his stats on the stream they were correct. I believe they were outdated too, the massive loss rate has started in earnest after the last patch and possibly the one before. Simply put this is too new of a problem for bE to have decent stats for at the time of the stream.
