I'm not. I have to go through an inbox worth of this every day or so now: Of course, since I gave into their demands most of that has been replaced with less demands for reviews, and more messages of hatred or how my analysis does not matter because it took interactions with fans into account. This is also atop of what can be found on forums, other games and other places. I did give it a chance. Beyond some surprising voice acting talent it was unremarkable and average at best. The problem people have isn't with the show in question, but how overly hyped it is by fans, its sheer prevalence, and the mentality of "when we make the show you like more like ours and it is better!" And now you for for the easy option, immediately declaring any example which shows your fandom in a bad light to not be a "true fan" and instead someone attempting to besmirch your name. Were this one or two people, this an isolated incident, I might believe you. Not after several months and what has been said as a result of voicing an opinion based upon experience with fans. Perhaps in some fan circles that works, but for far too many others it seems to translate to "You must like this, you will be assimilated." You only need to look at things like the sheer volume of fan-art attempting to make every other franchise possible like the cartoon or something like The Conversion Bureau to see that. Or better yet things like the certain incidents on 4Chan which bronies label as some huge moral victory because they spammed the website into submission. There's less respect for choosing not to like the show and more forcible attempts to make everything more like it.
You just have it hard. Well doing YouTube channel(don't even URL to it). Your going to get spamed with trash stuff. Being famous your going to keep some form of it. Since you do cartoons you get ponies. If you did games it could be COD, TF2 and Gears as spam. If you wanted to be an ass or funny(well that sums up the internet) what would you spam to a YouTube channel about cartoons?
And? None of this overlooks what your fandom does and does not legitimise your accusation that few people have any genuine right to dislike or hate the show. Yes, the website does get plenty of trash, insults and people starting fights but very few have shown such a determined mob mentality or attitude as there. None of this answers the other points brought up against your fandom's less reputable acts either. Also, most spam the website gets tends to contain less screaming demands or vitriol because an article said an MLP comic wasn't worth their time. They wanted neither. What they wanted was open praise of something they liked, most likely following me covering other IDW comics. This turned into demanding spam and then hate mail.
I am a brony my self, i like the show and all that but cant we just make a thread and hate on it instead, it is so much easier.
All fandoms have bad apples? Is that your defense? Because quite frankly, the negative traits associated with bronies seem to be the norm and not the exception. There seems to be some confusion over why bronies are hated. It's not that you are watching a show for little girls, or that you enjoy a shows for little girls. No one cares about that. You know what really pisses off the rest of the sane world? Bronies displacing the original and intended fandom. Little girls being unable to google MLP without adult supervision. Panelists being asked sexually explicit questions in front of children. The sexualization of an IP intended for kids who might not even fully understand the concept of gender. And personally I and deeply annoyed by people so godamn egotiscal that they gotta shove their fandom in a place where it's obviously not invited.
Nah i think it is easier to make a thread like yours and just throw some distasteful things in the mix, and if you dont ask for it, so it wont come, if you give attention it will come, here it is. And truth to be told, i have been in conversations and gotten hate mail back just because i like the show, simply for liking it. I dont throw it into anyone's face but it happens, they roam the youtube channel find one of my videos and behold it had an pony image, then i get into the comments section a hurtful comment, and then some post into my inbox, where did i do wrong? haters are going to hate, there is no logic there in hating something someone else likes. Why do people like a tv show with cartooned ponies? Break the barrier of the norm, at the start i could not bare it but i went on to see for my self what it is all about, after 1 season which i decided to watch objectively it was an "OK" show, it was different in comparison towards chopping of heads left and right and eating the brains of some guy as an zombie in a game. It is different, yet i have not been changed but enlightened instead to understand a bit more regarding this, as well as furries to a degree, i sort of get them enough or sympathize to not say "OMG FURRY PURGE PURGE!". I see a lot of comments but weirdly enough people who are soldiers who kill and who served in irak and the like, some watch the pony show, there is quite a sum of them, yet there are people just as them tough and strong who can kill and chop peoples head off so tough and hardcore, but they can not swallow seeing a colourful picture of a horse. And then look at REDWUNS post, this is why you can not enjoy something at all it just makes me sad really, cant even have a thread 1 thread for our self´s yet when a hater thread comes up it is game on brother, hate hate hate, it is like the first time he has heard of porn emerging from something. -------------- Solutions all threads regarding this should be closed and not discussed about at all, any pros and cons thread which means your thread killbo and any other future ones regarding this, even this one, all of it should be thrown out of the window, talking about it is bad, nothing good will come of it.

I just enjoy the show i am in no sense a powerful fan though, and i am a bit insane as well.... *Opens up the fridge* "Frozen monkey brains yum!"
