Yes, their belief is "The Galaxy shall burn!" and "The Dark Gods will rise!". I'm sure there is a lot of pride to be had for standing up for those beliefs.
You speak as if you've never seen terrorists taking pride in their fight in the real world. To them we are a corrupt and decadent declining society. So yeah, I'm not saying I believe pride should come from terrorism, but let's be real, people take pride in all sort of twisted things we find completly crazy when it goes against our own value. Haven't still found someone who thinks calling themselves traitor among themselves is a good thing to take pride from. Also, since chaos betray one another and have a lot of infighting, they dislike traitors as much as everyone else when it comes down to integrity. They likely will punish any act of treason, so taking pride in being traitors makes less sense than taking pride in being rebels, which is slightly different. You rebel when you feel you've been betrayed by the power in place/are being attacked on the ground of your own values (ie Lorgar's faithfulness being answered with ingratttitude), you betray when you, yourself, go against the values you used to stand for.
It is just a name to show they are against Imperium. Those are two sides of this coin. Traitors - they have betrayed Imperium and the whole "chasing chaos gods favours" is making them quite untrustworthy. They will kill their followers / allies if it will serve them so yes - they are traitors. On the other hand - many legions/chapters turned against Emperor couse they choose to stay loyal to their own creed. Nightlords for example. And there are some who were betrayed by Imperium first before they turned against it like Thousand sons. So I suppose more accurate term would be "rebel space marines".
