So earlier today i was playing my LSM

doing ok and everything was all fun, then we go against orks and i shit you not the following comment was said by someone using a plasma cannon and i quote

"F***in rokkits man, No weapon should be alowd to one shot people and anyone who uses it is a cheap loser"

Unfortunately i didnt make a screenshot of it kinda wish i did but yea....... kinda makes me sad when stuff like this happens

Whoever that was, he got point.
Nothing is more annoying then getting instakilled. And even if rokkits were nerfed, getting instacanceled out of an engagement (The only time EC is really becoming fun is intense Melee duels or shootouts between 2 ranged classes) and having this just interrupted instantly by anything is major bullsh... shout.

Oi! Dat's cuz da lad'z brain fried itself when dat Mareen-boy said dat. Roight now dat Plazma Kannon can do all dat da rokkit can do but FAR FAR bettah! It's dead akkurate, has an area explosion, different ways ta shoot, an' da recharge time can be bluddy ridikulous. At least our Rokkit has got stuff ta balance it's insta-krump damage, like a randomly wandering shot, long charge + fire times, and it moves slow as zog.
Hope I see dat git on da field of WAAAAGGHHH so I can give 'im anudda rokkit! Mwahahahahaha!

Im not saying the Plasmacannon is okay filthy greenskin.
I say all the instakill weapons should go. Replace it with a stun, so at least the rokkit user has to switch to pistol to quickly finish his hit.
And regarding the Plasmacannon and it's equivalents... there is more than one thread allready telling what's wrong with it

So what would you like to happen when a Power Fist fully charged to the back of the head of an unsuspecting victim? What about a lascannon shot? By your standards should that stun people too?

No, that's different i have to admit.
A Powerfist needs to charge, and in a perfect world you could disrupt the attack and the charge with a fast attack.

A lascannon got that laser on you. A clear indicator shit's going south if you don't move. If you move, you counter it.

Plasmacannon is just "Shoot into some direction, the AoE get's it no matter where you hit"
Rokkit's are hard to see going towards you, and even if you do. you got no time to react to it accordingly. And that's a little bad.

I take it back, some instakills are deserved. But you should always be able to counter it or "see it commin"
And don't "But you could just observe the situation more carefully and have better reflexes" on me, i dare you.

I sez dat's a bluddy bad idea. Wun, it don't fit wiv da 40k world: both da plazma kannon and da rokkit launcha is able ta insta-krump most any git if ya go by da roolz of da tabletop. No reason ta get rid of it 'ere, jus' need bad fings ta balance it out. Like da plazma kannon, dat should be charge shots only or get hot supa-fast so dat da plazma spam ain't so bad no more. An' like dat spikey boy sed, utha weaponz do da same fing so taking away insta-krump jus' don' work.


EDIT: You can see a rokkit comin' cuz it's got fire 'n' smoke comin' outta it. An' if yer shootin' gitz an' not tankz den you gotta get pretty close in da first place jus' ta have da chance of hittin' dem. Be fast an' do dat 'serpentine' fing an' orks will be lucky ta hit ya wiv dat rokkit!

I wish they would make plasma weapons a lot harder to come by, It would end a lot of this plasma spam. I.E. Like a higher reward from a tough campaign mission.

I liked a friends suggestion, put Autocrutch and Plasma cannon behind the veteran wall. It would cut down on them a great deal.
