This is pretty funny, but Sontarans don't actually eat, they instead regain energy by having it somehow channeled into them through the probic vent, so that line is sort of a consistency fail on Moffat's part. =|

That particular Sontaran isn't really meant to be a threat, he's a comedic relief good guy Sontaran who likes to try to breastfeed babies.
Like I said, I prefer the classic series Sontarans.

Linx and Styre were both awesome.

I quite liked them in David Tennant's timeline, they were appeared as an effective fighting force and capable of conquering.
