To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of him either. I'm very excited to see how Capaldi's run works out.
The doctor in general luckily much much less love drama unless like with Rory & Amy; also much much darker was said already.
Asylum of the Daleks was one of the worst Doctor Who episodes ever made IMHO. That said, here's some more Sontarans:
I actually rather liked Crimson Horror. Not the best by any means, but at the very least, it didn't take a massive shit all over the most iconic and long-running villains in the series like Asylum did.
The lack of Daleks in the entire Season lacked anyway - And I rather find it disturbing of how crappy Cybermen were made... Also regards Daleks - That episode in 2nd world war was even crappier. I believe the episode was even called 'Iron Sight' not sure (I am shitty with dr. who episodes, but I am quite good with Stargate episode names lol!)
