I enter a medium-sized clearing that used to be some kind of plaza, and notice a squad of Tau pinning down Demetri Dominov. I immediately duck behind a pillar, with a Tau Warrior about a metre in front of the pillar, and another Warrior a few metres beyond that. I put three shells from my shotgun into the far Warrior, and impale the nearest Warrior with my Katana before he can react. I snatch the Pulse Carbine from the impaled Warrior and sheathe my Katana, before diving into low cover to my left, with Demetri about five or six metres in front of me and slightly to the left. I wait for a brief respite in the fire directed at me by the remaining Tau Warriors (there are four left), and quickly throw the Pulse Carbine towards Demetri before ducking back behind cover as another wave of plasma impacts near me.
