Sending in the military to take out rioters? Yeah lets do it. It's happened before and it works AMAZINGLY. They did something similar with the detroit riots of 1967. People were fighting for DAYS. Some people needed to bring guns to just to get themselves to stores and back. There were 43 dead and 342 injured 1400 buildings burned to the ground. The American NG sent out a radio and televised warning on every channel promising to shoot anyone who was out in the streets at 6:00 pm You know how many people died when they arrived? The same number of people that were outside at the time. 0. Nobody was stupid enough to stay outdoors, not even the rioters. Come to think of it, the riots died down quite a bit afterwards. It was still dangerous, but there were less angry black people throwing bricks at you. The moral of the story is that everybody thinks they're a bad-ass until they're staring down the barrel of a gun. The military method WORKS, BUT it should be considered the nuclear solution. It needs to be pretty bad if you need to send in the military. Don't do it unless you have to.

Ok before you think this is the greatest peacekeeping tactic since the 12-guage, consider this. At the time, THERE WERE NO swat teams. There were no tear gas. There were no "rubber bullets".
