@The-Mad-Magos I don't care where you think it is from, because it originated as a short story. Also, no. Western dragons are almost exclusively due to komodo dragons. One can argue that finding winged reptile remains added wings, but that is about it. As for the Griffin, your origin story is iffy. There were people in other areas of the world where that genre of dino was never found who came up with Griffins beforehand.
