The quest of perfection was a flaw of their geneseed though. I have not come across any lore that states that Fabius was not afflicted by it. If he did indeed disagree are you saying that what he saw as perfection was merely a different image of that of his legion?
Well perhaps he seeks perfection but understands that there are stepping stones to reach it Because he does not seem to be cursed the way they are
That is an interesting theory. Though because Horus was killed his project turned out to be a failure nonetheless. But i'll do some digging on Fabius' lore to find what he thought perfection was. Perhaps some HH books will be particularly helpful here.
You do realized the Alpha Legion sabotaged his work, right? And they still were dangerous enough to kill Astartes with their bare hands. And besides, calling Noise Marines failures is borderline delusional.
Corax is in the Warp, I don't think he CAN mess with it again even if he wanted to. Not that he couldn't before. Im just pointing out the plot biases no need to get hostile! Also I really want to see the part in the HH books were Corax says "fuck you" seriously that sounds hilarious. called it! Don't look that much different from normal space marines though, kinda disappointed. How is seeking perfection a geneseed flaw? I understand missing a gland or two, but having a personality trait?
It was a trait that the Emperor approved of. They were his favorite Legion once upon a time, the only allowed to bear the Aquila. Hence, to say the Emperor's Children's views were flawed is to say the Emperor's views were flawed. Doesn't that make you a Heretic @Defiance ?
I am quite dubious of the lore for this. Current Mechanicus is not very innovative, they failed to do the same at the height of Imperial tech, and Guilliman to my recollection wasn't very scientific.
Ground Marines suck ass. Can't we get some badass none-stupid forces of good? Hell, maybe Drachenfels needs to be brought back so he can stir up some shit...
This wasn't a recent thing. Guilliman layed the developments to this plan ten thousand years ago, and Cawl has been working towards it all this time. Cawl has been around since the beginning, the man isn't subject to the decline of the Mechanicum in general. Its not a stretch to imagine that the man who once had supreme control of the Imperium, would be able to put forth a plan to enhance the design of the Space Marine. The Emperor didn't need to enhance the Space marines because they were more then enough to conquer the galaxy for him. And the webway project took all his time from him. I'm making assumptions, but I have no doubt he could have enhanced the Space marine as Cawl seems to have, if he really wanted to. Now I'm not too sold about this either, but as a model collector first and foremost, GW is finally giving us true scale marines. And that is no bad thing.
