Aldmeri would fuck themselves over just as much doing some silly shit. Empire would be routed if the Stormcloaks pushed them with no cities or forts to take refuge in. We don't know how the Nords will defend their lands, I assume they'll fortify but they will probably be making use of any and all who knows shouts which will be very few yes but that is a power which makes many other Mages look powerless in comparison. Nords might distrust magic at times but they still make use of them as well and they'd be able to match the Elves at times. Especially with the Collage of Winterhold's powerful mages who might answer the call. I assume guerrilla warfare would be how the Nords would fight back, having traps laid around and then striking from the shadows. Until one day someone like Ysgramor comes along and beats the shit out of the Elves. Anyway, I'm gonna go shoot Saren in the face.
The thing about the Dominion is....they'll do absolutely fuck knows everything to take Skyrim. The reason why is because, they want to return to Atherius, by destroying the physical realm. In other words, they want to become immortal again. There are several Towers that bind the physical world together. These towers keep the physical realm stable. The Dominion seeks to control these towers, in order to use them to somehow unravel the physical realm. This will probably involve their destruction. The last tower they seek, is locatated at the throat of the world. They will throw absolutely everything, and I mean absolutely everything, to make it to the throat of the world, and destroy the tower in there to destroy nirn. Whether these towers actually do this is debatable, as its never been done before, but the Thalmor certainly believe it to be so.
I'll also add, if anyone think the Stormcloaks are safe they have another thing coming. The Aldmeri navy, is the most feared sea force in Tamriel right now. They'll be able to cross the sea of ghosts, thanks to their sheer numbers, and magical assistance alone. The Nords under Ulfric, would have to immediately after routing the Imperials, somehow stabilise the economy of Skyrim again (Which I doubt Ulfric has any knowledge of how to do that), and contend with the Reachmen, who arn't going to be easily shifted, or risk them being a problem later on when the Thalmor show up. Also I'll add, by now, the Thalmor, have been in Skyrim for over 25 years. To say they don't know the terrain and weather, would be plain wrong. The Thalmor would be as we speak charting the whole province, and learning as much about it as possible, for when they have to overcome it. They have Thalmor patrols all over the Imperial held parts of Skyrim, and I doubt it's simply for witch hunts....
Altmer have the best tasting blood, it is sweet and purfumed. the other elves come next, Dunmer blood leaves a bit of residue on the tongue, bosmer is very rich and meaty. the manfolk do not bathe enough and taste of sweat, dirt and other disgusting things. Finally beasts and orcs aren't food, they're slaves.
