Majority of the population lives in hive communities ruled by Kings. Queens lives separately from the rest of their people in fortified hive cities, only interacting to accept tributes and to reproduce. Tribute includes food, scavenged tech, slaves, and acts of great renown. Such as, slaying a powerful enemy, killing dangerous wildlife, or capturing many slaves.
Kings take the male fertilized eggs and Queens keep the female eggs. Those that are sterile become Guards that serve as the Queen's eyes, ears and enforcers. New Queen are educated and prepared for future responsibilities.
The males are taught by the older generation of their respective brood and eventually find their place in the hive. Some are raised by the King personally and are refered to as "first sons". These usually become warriors or scholars. When a brood grows too large, one of the workers, usually a "first son", will emerged as a new King. It's not clear how one is chosen, but the process has a physical effect on the chosen male. Once fully developed, larger and thicker exoskeleton, it will either challenge the older King or found a new brood. So the cycle continues.
Only Rogues defy the rule of the Queens and Hives. Living alone or in small groups. Rogue Kings are denied territory and mating. In the hopes of breeding out individualistic or rebellious traits.

Most Hoarder technological development is from crashed ships that litter their planet. A power gravity spikes added with natural disruption of instruments and sensors cause vessels to fall to the planet if they get too close. It is unlikely that they will develop space faring Technology, since anything that goes too high will eventually be pulled back down.
Kage is a harsh planet full of apex predators and scarce resources. Anything of value is jealously guarded and individual rights are all but alien to the vast majority of their species. Artwork is rare, but Queens have a fondness for it. Workers who produce art are highly valued for this reason.
Hoarders communicate primarily through chemical signals and a limited range of clicking and hissing. Forming words is difficult, but not impossible. The greatest language barrier is the range of words hivers use, thinking in very simplistic terms. While rogues in contrast use less chemical signals and are known for having more complex language abilities. This is to keep themselves hidden from others of their species who would enslave or otherwise wish them harm.

Physical traits
Hoarder's genders and number of births are predetermined by the Queens. They have six limbs; two legs and either two sets of arms or one set of arms and a pair of wings. Males have four arms and Females have wings. Faces include mandibles and a lower jaw. Antenna on the forehead that grows as they age. With two large compound eyes. Each arm has manipulators with three digits and a thumb.
Queens eventually lose their ability to fly and develop large egg production organs.
Kings are the largest of the males, with thicker natural armor and strength for carrying eggs after mating.
Depending on their environment, Hoarders can have various ranges of skin tones. From dark grey, to sandy yellow, to red stone, etc...

A minor note would be that having multiple apex predators isn't a good way to put it seeing as the apex is if course the top, it's not really a shared position. Therefore something more along the lines of "predators that would be at the apex of any other planet" then describe at least the apex of this environment. Probably a few others.
