Yeah my solution is do what was happening under bush and not keep funding terrorist organisations like the Clintons did Slowly fix them, stabilize the country and give them a chance at western life. You'd also be praising Erdogan and doing terrorist attacks
I like that series by Bassem Youssef called Democracy Handbook. It's 10 episodes long, and each episode is about 6 minutes long, so it only takes an hour to watch.
The thing is Innocents die, shit happens. It's life, if innocents didn't die we'd become a nation of weak willed fools... bit like modern western countries
Mkay, so, uh, you've correctly identified me as a pacifist. And I agree with that assessment. So naturally, my concerns about war fall into pacifistic kinds of things - treat it as a last resort, minimize innocent lives lost, etc. And also naturally, I did not pursue a military career or a government position where I would be in charge of a military. And since I know that wars are a necessity, but also that they are awful, I opt to push hard for peace, even though internally I know it cannot always be avoided. Don't expect me to like war. Don't expect me to agree with you. Just expect me to treat it as an unfortunately necessary evil. Or, in the words of fictitious character Daniel Jackson, "I can't say for sure what would happen to your country with or without the bomb, I just wish there was another way."
By allowing them the option to change their mind, and being open to accepting, it if a war ensues, I suppose.
