Remember how silly Avatar's premise is, we have Space flight technology but absolutely no weaponry on them to orbital bombard an enemy on a planet... I mean you have to use a slow flying ship that is arguably on par with what we have today in terms of the technology used to make it fly except we could have shit that can fly faster, more manoeuvrable and probably drop a bigger payload... Sure they're not a military group of a Nation or Earth in general as they're just a Mercenary group but they have giant mechs yet nothing in terms of High Explosives? A couple of MOABs and the blue treehuggers would be done and dusted and I'm assuming that MOABs would be rather small once we've got space travel figured out anyway...

HFY? I mean even the Mechs in there were kinda shit... The guys in there weren't really protected as arrows broke through it... A couple of .50 Cal HMGs would make cut them all down...
