Well, at the time that Andromeda takes place, IE 600 years after the events of ME3, the Quarians are now (maybe?) capable of living without their space suits. Unless they are dead... ... They're born in a sterilized clean room, need immune system boosters just to link envirosuites, and have as good an immune system as an untreated aids patient. What her and Shepherd did was probably akin to Netflix and snuggle.
