The EU was formed with American help to create a bloc of countries that could stand up to the Soviet Union. Without an EU, even though there's NATO, Europe is weaker against Russia. We're not pulling out of NATO, Milord. Russia ain't going to push into Europe... They can try but if they go even slightly further than Ukraine they'll be fucking off everyone in the east so much more to the point they'll more than likely say to NATO if you're not going to do something, we will. Now could the Eastern European Nations really stand up to Russia in a military contest, eh fuck knows, never looked into the stats but it'd probably be a show of force enough to make the Russians stand down. If the East of Europe wants an EU go for it. I personally don't want one and the majority of Britain agrees with me on that.
