Oh I don't doubt I'm a dick, but I'm honest at least. And frankly I feel that humanity would do much better without any religion whatsoever, it seems to do little more than divide you and pre-program you to act a certain way or believe in certain things without questioning them. So much of people's holy words could be dismantled with nothing more than critical thought. So yes, I would be the dick that would set all religions and Gods aflame (and inevitably probably their worshippers) and in their place raise Science as the highest of things. AKA, I would act like the Emperor. And if you both tried and failed to wipe each other out, then you're not trying hard enough because you're both still here.
Worked for the Emperor though. Until he semi-died and became worshipped as a God by idiots in their own right.
The main reason the Bolshevik rebellion happened was the Provisional Government fearing that if they pulled out of the war they'd lose the funding of the Allies, which they needed to survive, so they tried one last battle and lost The Bolsheviks took their chance and won They also technically controlled the army through brute force due to the Soviet declaring that "the army belongs to us not the provisional government because the army is workers" And then the Bolsheviks basically hostile tookover the soviet with armed troops
They are a STAIN on your nation's history, same as mine. So yes, I'd take my Terminator body and destroy all of them without hesitation and you'd be welcome to try and pry out my optics as I crush your skull between my steel hands. And yes, you could potentially create synthetic hormones and chemicals to balance your now-artificial mind but then you'd probably have to have something to receive that kind of stimulus. These are things which are frankly much more difficult to create than a consciousness transfer (or more likely a brain transfer in the beginning). Still it will certainly be interesting to see how the first people to transition will act from then onward.
Religion will fade sooner or later, you won't have to torch it. Even Greece almost all religous once is down to 86%. It's still an important part of our cultural identity. Even long after it ceases just like the Ancient Greeks and their pantheon, it will be remembered, and I hope even after all the things commited, fondly. Faith is what gave us the strength to break the chains of our oppressors, it is what kept my grandmother going in WW2, It's what gave us strength and solidarity, throughout our history as a people. I'm not religous like my fellow Greeks, but I still adore our culture, that is so intertwined with our religion. Well I'm sorry we havn't wiped the Turks out. Being teamkilled by Venetians, does terrible things to an Empires abillity to fight its enemy.
Really! Tell that to the British Army in Iraq. I doubt you were there, or have spoken on this to someone who was. And that you base this assertion on an assumption. The British Army had to cover a quarter of Iraq with less available tanks, so Challenger 2s were out as much as the Abrams and faced the same level of opposition. C2s survived scenarios that left Abrams burnt out wrecks. In fact the only C2 destroyed in Iraq was the result of friendly fire from another C2. The US Army in comparison lost a disproportionately larger number of Abrams, mainly because the Insurgents had the newest generation of Russian RPGs. These were used against an immobilised Challenger 2, multiple times and possibly even a MILAN Anti-Tank Missile, during one night. Next morning the tank was retreived, the crew alive, and returned base. The tank was back out, fully repaired, by that afternoon.
