Shotgun Meltas, Sniper Lascannons and Vengeance Launchers. Maps? Please, every map is basically a three lane MOBA and there's less to them. Tactics are run in circles or A/D juking, it's run and gun or trying to make the non-exsistant cover system work. Killing NPCs is inferior to players. Appearance options are currently superior, this much is true, but that wasn't what I was talking about. That may be your opinion, but it's still being polished. SM won't be and it's already half the game.
See the things that i believe are better about SM is because i like it that way, it's subjective and therefore we'll never agree. Plus the devs are kinda pricks on EC
Vengeance Launchers are perfectly fine. They lack the RoF compared to other weapons, catching the users off guard means death and require proper placement of projectiles. Take it from someone who knows. They're also soft-counters to ASMs, which you need if you want to win. And the only people who use them are Tacs, which are undoubtedly the most vulnerable class. THEY'RE ALSO SOMETHING USEFUL IN LORE. Move an INCH off target and the Melta will not instant kill you, allowing you to retaliate. You can gun them down due to its pathetically short range too. Watch your damned surroundings. Nobody sneaks up onto you unless you allow them too. And they expose themselves to your teammates while doing that, so play with competent people. It has the effective range of a shotgun, and a similar use, so of course it's a shotgun. Sniper Lascannons are exactly what you'd get with competent soldiers. It makes sense. They do as much damage as they should and they deserve their pinpoint accuracy, as Devestators need ways to hit, since they're usually placed at the back of a formation in lore and game alike. They don't instant kill unless you get headshotted, and if that happens you deserve to die, because it's horrendously difficult. It has a slow rate of fire like the VL, so again, confuse, dodge and fuck around with your opponent rather than charging brainlessly forward. The players aren't aimbots. Throw your fucking grenades and flashes, heck use the Stimulants to get godlike regen. Take serrated knives so you can get chainsword-level melee power as well, the combinations are endless. The maps are fine if you pay attention, there's distinct sniping, crossfiring and outflanking spots going on. You always have cover from fire. Just because you can't have an animation for it, doesn't mean you can't protect yourself with your surroundings. EC is mostly massive open spaces, which is great for vehicles but kills the joy of being infantry, which is the core of 40k. And the cover is so badly placed it can hardly be said to be cover at all
I'm pretty sure that I learned every spot on the Hab Block by game three, I do pay attention, that's why I say there's not that much to them. A token few spots that someone who's played a few times would know a newb wouldn't. And that's what I said, you can try to make do with the non exsistant system for cover, which is inferior to having a cover system. EC has both open spaces and closed spaces, you know there's a lot of map space closed to vehicles. And both vehicle and infantry combat is a part of WH. I like it, one of my favorite things in game is playing matador with a Rhino, him trying to run me over as I dodge and melta. SM is alright, but I definitely prefer EC.
EC maps are massive open spaces and a few buildings inbetween, which are designed like mazes. And nevermind that it's all done haphazardly. I could tolerate that if it was all blended together well, but it isn't. It's A/B or black and white. It's like a guy who's never touched a pencil in his life tried to shade like a professional. Sure, even what they've done is probably exhaustive work and difficult, but if they're leeching our money, then it should be orders of magnitude better than what it is now. Vehicles in EC aren't so much actual vehicles as bouncy spring-loaded death-machines which don't feel like something you drive so much as float and randomly murder-poke someone.
SpaceMarine is just a smallerscale EC thats more polished and has a good campaign. Multiplayer wise its kinda shit though.

If you didn't hit faster than everyone else and do the same damage, yeah I could possibly accept it. Till then keep using broken Samurai. Space Marine was my shit. Racked up so many kills with a Stalker well Daemon Eye Bolter... Gotta use that Larraman's Blessing and Serrated Combat Blade. But yeah many things were broken. Assault/Raptor with Furious Charge could one hit people, Tacticals using Stims and Serrated Blades I think were an instant kill and a few other things that were game breaking for me. Still was fun as fuck when people weren't doing bullshit like Metlagun Rapid Deploy spam. My burning hatred for Vengeance Launcher will never go away. Teams filled with them and the fact it doesn't have to reload at all or even hit you just fucks me off. If I had a Stalker Bolter that didn't need to reload I'd probably have a higher K/D in Space Marine than usual which for the most part was rather high actually... Debatable. People usually go off to cap B, now they have multiples spamming meltaguns with rapid deploy onto the point and it is a miracle to capture the point from them. I will agree though most times when they attack they have to sneak up on you but usually for example let's say Shattered Bridge they'll either come from beneath or above the bridge. Have some people underneath or on the bridge and they can look out for them. I know some people thought the Stalker Bolter was overpowered. I could two shot people with it. Needed a headshot though without one of them it was like a six shot to kill if not more... I disagree, I personally loved the shit out of Space Marine's Multiplayer. When I played solo online, it is a bit shitty for the most part, is amusing facing an enemy team with four or so in a group and handle them is just amusing. The lag was horrendous though. Let's say I see you shoot a magazine into you which would have killed you, but because of lag it catches up and sees that I've fired X amount of shots at you which then hit you. Regardless of where I am now, say I've gone off to the otherside of the map and there is ridiculous buildings in the way, it'll still kill you. If I died or whoever fired at you died then their shots wouldn't count but it was... Odd to say the least... Many things were wrong with Space Marine but at least they patched the shit out of the grenades at the start. You had two of the fuckers and when people spam Master Crafted Wargear and Favour of the Armoury they had four nuke grenades pretty much....
