    Honestly
See, my flavors of RTS range rapidly. Like, I actually liked Halo Wars, but disliked Command and Conquer. I liked Total War: Warhammer, but hated Startcraft series, etc. A lot of people would accuse my likes as heresy to the RTS genre.

  2. Well I am competitive, so I actually played SC for a shit load of time. I also loved Halo Wars. Me and my console friends would always have a night shelved for Halo Wars. I liked DOW 1 but I preffered DOW 2 as it felt more tactical and you cared more about each loss. Command and Conquer was also fucking fun, and I had some great times with Age of Empires.
  3. DoW2 had good and bad bits, the Wargear was fun, the gameplay was shit, the story was ok.
DoW1 had better gameplay, because it's an RTS not a take command of a group of squads and be tacticool
  4. Gameplay was shit is your opinion. I loved the gameplay for DOW2 more then DOW1. I loved DOW1 but taking a blob and running it through the enemy army while spamming respawns was boring to me. It got better in multiplayer where I learned about specific build orders, and started to see that there was more to it then just wait till late game and throw all your men at each other and see who wins.

DOW 2's gameplay felt way more tactical and strategic. Securing a building would be crucial to early firefights, and a well placed grenade could shift a fight in your favour.

Did you mtg fans and players know that wotc rereleased a ton of vintage and modern stuff in a set called modern masters? You can get stuff like goyfs and jace the mind sculptor in packs.

Looks like they mostly printed staple and popular cards for the set.

Also the newest kaladesh set is being spoiled. New mythic vehicle is a 4/4 flying vigilante for 3cmc and crews for either 3 (I think ) or a planeswalker loyalty counter.
  6. yeah but warhammer is large scaled, so in my opinion big blogs beating the shit out of each other is more fitting

  7. Yea but even so I prefer the smaller scale tactical skirmishes of DOW II to the large laser show with respawning bodies that is DOW I. That's not to say I don't love DOW I with a passion but I prefer smaller scale battles where each move you make is pivotal to victory.

Warhammer has huge battles but it also has Kill team and smaller point games that are just as fun and more focused then huge Apoc battles.
  8. It's not DoW if it's small scale, the two ideas should be seperated
