Well considering Vader's suit is practically a mobile iron lung, I'm sure the doctor could use the sonic screwdriver to fuck up something important and run away.
Well Vader is a Sith Lord, pretty sure even if he was dying he'd use the last of his power to slay the doctor, that's kinda the Sith way. I think complete and total shut down of all life support functions/cybernetic joint functions in Vader's suit sounds like a pretty effective one shot The next question would be, would The Doctor kill Vader? And if so, could he get away fast/far enough so Vader doesn't kill the shit out of him Also how many regenerations does he have banked?
That is totally true Considering that, how effective would his sonic screwdriver be at shutting down Vader's life supports Cause if he can't do that he's pretty fucked.
