So This Is Where The Heretics Reside?

  1. becouse he isent as fanatic, he is power hungry and calls himself the hand of destiny, for Erebus its about himself, not chaos
  2. I think putting a dude who was gladiator slave on essentially a death world in charge of a legion of super soldiers is a brilliant idea.

Or maybe an orphan growing up on the streets who mutilated and tortured people for fun would be a good battlefield commander. 10/10 would give Imperial Army vassals again.

Nepotism is clearly the best government policy.

Totes would never come to bite him in the ass.

In all seriousness, am I the only one who thinks it was blatantly obvious that all the primarchs had serious mental health issues? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Curze likely had some form of Schitzophrenia, or that Perturabo likely suffered from antisocial personality disorder (extreme sociopathy).

The Primarchs continuously exhibited a pattern of unhealthy, irrational behavior long before Chaos entered the picture, that much is clear.

  3. ....He was the hand of destiny. He was the architect of the heresy. And most followers of Chaos are power hungry. And most devotees of Chaos are in for themselves....like the Dark gods hate each other, and ultimately want the other destroyed.
  4. That's what I said, he should have set the Legion on their way to discover the truth, then been thrown out of the airlock. But that wouldn't be grimdark enough.
That basically. He would literally rewrite the word of lorgar (and he has) to give himself more power.
  5. you dont seem to get it
  6. He wasn't, he believed HE could read the warp and that he could orchestrate every happening ever, Lorgar knew that he was doing what he was doing, but the song in his mind was making everything to hard to pay attention to
  7. Idk I am probably not. To me Erebus has always been the physical manifestation of everything Chaos stands for imo. I just can't see how everyone wants him dead. It was he who basically "freed" them all from their servitude to the Emperor.
  8. Nope, he's a traitorous cur who needs to be put down
  9. The Word Bearers were still trying to uplift humanity going into the Heresy, Erebus was more concerned with Erebus, going so far as to murder an enlightened brother simply because he couldn't be controlled. Basically it's because he's about power for powers sake, while the Word Bearers wanted to use that power for the benefit of mankind.

What makes it worse is that he altered Legion dogma to achieve his personal goals. Like he literally purposefully misinterpreted scriptures to mold the faith more to his liking. Essentially he's the reason it's called the Dark Council and not just The Council.

  10. I'm sorry, What!?o_O

Konrad Curze was not Schizophrenic. He was plagued by visions of 40K and came to believe that the future he saw was inevitable. He kinda became an Emo.
And his sons are either Psychopaths, Sociopaths, or were raised to be such.

As for Perturabo, he was a designer and an Architect who could create perfect designs in his head but who either never made them, or made them and found them wanting in reality.
Then he got designated as the go-to guy for sieges and disassembling enemy defences, plus it doesn't help that his sons excelled at doing this, but not creating.

This led Perturabo to develop a negative outlook and a perceived insult which festered and gave Horus the purchase he needed to make him fall.

That is how they are portrayed in the Horus Heresy novels.
