Imperial Guard vs UNSC would end with the UNSC thoroughly curbstomped in a ground war. Their primary weapon (Assault Rifle) is more or less equivalent to WH40K stubrifles which are unable to pierce flak armor beyond close range. Fun fact: Only War has short first-person logs about a rookie describing his first few days in the Guard, one of them talks about a typical live-fire exercise in the depths of the void ship against heavily-armored training servitors armed with stubbers. Like all of WH40K, there are fatalities.

I've heard of Stubguns (pistols), but I've never heard of Stubrifles. Could you mean Autoguns? If you do, they are the equivalent of IG Lasguns. Which would mean a UNSC Assault Rifle is equal to the IG Lasgun. But I don't think the UNSC has a Hellgun/Hot-Shot Las, Meltagun or Plasmagun equivalent. I think IG Stormtroopers would wipe out even ODST's.
