So, Kronos Log: Excuse to Field Sisters of Battle in my Chaos Regiment Basically as the story goes a radical Inquisitor enlists a Order of Sisters to act as a temporary daemon host. A sister is chosen by two categories, one that had survived the path of the Sisters Repentia and was redeemed (on the basis that they'd be more resistant to the temptations of Chaos having overcome it before) and Sisters of Pure Faith. The Inquisitor had a cadre of psykers that they'd possess a Sister and question it to gain as much knowledge of the warp as possible. The sister is to allow the daemon to take control for as much time as the Inquisitor deems necessary, keeping their mind about them to seek the daemons true nature(and its name of course) and then after the signal is given they begin the exorcism process to expel the daemon. These sisters were sorted, the ones that had manifested intolerable mutations of flesh/mind were killed and the ones that regain their humanity are sent as daemon/witch hunters of a higher calibre(warp sense and whatnot) Of course, when our foul Sorcerer gets wind of this certain measures are taken, a Sister with a remarkably functional survival instinct is chosen for the Rite. With a parallel ritual, the Sorcerer inserts a pacted daemon into the possession to arrive when summoned. It posed as a lesser Daemon of Slaanesh, making both Sister and Inquisition exumers believe it sought to prey on her sense of pride and struggle to serve in the highest calibre(it actually being a greater daemon of Tzneetch of course). When the exorcism took place, the daemon went dormant, hiding within, only revealing itself as a whisper of (mostly) sound advice. Our heroine, convinced of her own purity despite the daemons influence opts to not tell her axe ready Inquisitor pals of her ordeal, partly because she thinks she's of better service to the beloved Emperor alive than dead and two she'd just plain rather not be dead. --- Naturally this sets off a series of events that leads to an outbreak of corruption. I've got one idea of how to corrupt a Sisterhood. Just show them Lorgar's Pilgrimage starting the day the Emperor arrived on Colchis. Daemonically speaking it wouldn't be all that hard to do, take the genetic memory of pretty much any of the Veteran of the Long War Word Bearers. What they'd see is a Legion of sacred Astartes spreading the Emperor's Holy Word just as any good crusader should, then the Emperor totally denouncing the Legion's practices, humiliating them and telling them that their work is better burned than beating. Seems like a pretty thorough faith breaker so long as you can get them too believe it (which if you can make it come to them is a sort of divine connection in their eyes, I'd say you can) Once they see that I'd say most of them would either, A) Be quite kerfunkled at the fact that their Divine Emperor decreed long ago that their faith was an abomination, and therefore this current Imperium is an abomination or B) Pull a Word Bearer and say, Yeah well Fuck You, I'll find me'self a new god... with warp dust, and hookers!
Sounds like something that could work. I approve. Though they would no doubt come into conflict with my own homebrew Order, who hate Chaos so much that they think actually exterminating the human race is a viable idea. Their Living Saint is a Black Pariah, and numerous members of their ranks are Blanks. Ironically, their lust for slaughter would probably cause them to fall under Khorne's spell, were it not for the vast amount of anti-psychic aura that surrounds them.
Metal Caste - bionic enhanced warriors Shadow Caste - assassins and espionage Void Caste - Uneffected by the ethereals's influence Exile Castes - not under the rule of the Ethereals Earth Castle Militia Have been hammering out my ideas for the Tau.
Playing with the idea of Tau Pariahs. Used to have a "Soul Caste" as Tau Psykers, but thought that wasn't lore friendly. Tau are supposed to have little to no presence in the warp. Oh! Forgot about "Corrupted Tau." Warp exposed and Chaos worshipping Tau. These might have psykers, but that's also by I dropped them. Evil Tau are fun to play with, but harder to explain.
