In all real frankness, personally I believe even if that really was the case... and GW are looking for a studio to continue on where Vigil left off On Dark Millennium, firstly the market for that genre of MMO is currently flooded... their greatest competition would be wildstar presently UNLESS it stays a single player RPG, which I feel is the only option they have with it because a single player 3rd person Warhammer 40 000 RPG game will in my opinion be more successful than a traditional MMO, the market for that game will be pretty much just Warhammer 40 000 fans exclusively and out of them only a small number who play video games. While Eternal Crusade on the other hand has much more potential market value, not only will it appeal to Dawn of War fans and Space Marine fans who may not necessarily be all encompassing WH40K fans who involve themselves with the other aspects of the hobby, but it will also be popular to Ex-PS2, Ex-DAoC and Ex-WAR players as well and likely draw in other gamers because it fills a gameplay niche, while Dark Millennium is pretty generic, the only thing going for it was + vehicles. Also on top of that the engine itself is an in-house vigil engine rather than a commercial middle-ware game engine. Meanly more than likely it is poorly documented, making it hard for a new studio to continue on where they left off and more likely than not they will be forced to move to a different game engine. Personally I think it's a fools errand to hold out on a licence such as Dark Millennium waiting for another studio to take up the mantle of a project which contributed (even in a small part as it did) to the downfall of a publisher, just so a studio will offer to GW to take up the mantle of working on it, I think so long as it stays a singleplayer game it will have a market and will sell, but don't expect the sales to be anymore than slightly better than how Space Marine did. Still I would buy the game if it was good regardless, but not if it was an MMO.
We might seem them included later into the release, once they figure out how to also include the Tau and their lack of Pyskers.[/quote] The Tau have a psyker resembling unit just as the Necrons do, they are just not called the same things.
[ECLESSIARCHAL RESPONSE] {TRANSMISSION START} Mmm, yet I would love to yet see the zealous astartes chapter of The Black Templars..Yet, I think we hold yet I've up Pysker class.. {TRANSMISSION END}
The Necron "psykers" are called crypteks, since Necrons have no souls they cannot channel the warp and they use arcane tech instead
I wouldn't be opposed to the BT being included in the vote, but I also wish that it remains original legion based Chapters first. Either way, this thread should die. Nothing against BT players, but it's a bad representation of the good ones out there.
So, brothers why? Why? 1) Just because we are 2nd founding? But we' ve done things even not all 1st founfing done. 2) Because we don't have psykers? We can have someone different, what about emperors champion. 2) Because we don't follow codex astartes? Space wolfs. And I think people won't follow it much in game. 4) Some unknown reasons? 5) rasism? )) Most logical to me is 1 or 4. What will you do brothers? Vote for IF? Play as one of chapters that already in game? What about black templars style items? Like chains, aegis helmets, robes(or how they named corectly) And other such things that will make us look closer to them but still not against lore?
