I think the big issue is their hatred of all psykers including librarians. Another issue is they aren't a first founding chapter like all the others. There's DEFINETLY a place for them in expansions but it sounds like too much work to add a chapter that plays differently from all the others in their race before launch. I'm against them being in game from the beginning and Black Templars are the only loyalist chapter i really like. Not kinda like, i think theyre badass! Still though, to make a great game the devs need to focus on the essentials first.
Yes lets just hope that they make a good and fun game with this. Im not in the mood for another SWTOR flop. Dont waste money in fancy CGI trailers, instead use it to make an awesome game!
Not to run this thread off the tracks, but The Black Templars are hardly the only Chapter, Legion, Craftword or Tribe that isn't going to make it into the game pre-release. Trust me I'm still bummed out about The Death Guard getting skipped, but such is life, there is only so much the Devs can do. If this has been brought up already I apologize.
At least for me its a bit the sentiment of my chapter slowly falling into obscurity that is bothering me. They need some love! Some sweet hot and tender love in a supplement form... The Sentinels of Terra already took a bit of BT unique fluff... Well it was written by the great beast so it was to be expected...
I guess that's the difference. I picked my favorite chapter knowing full well how little attention they get. A clear decline would be annoying. But really, GW puts Raven Guard marines on multiple boxes of SM forces but doesn't include anything for them on the transfer sheets. Why put them on the box if you can't make them?
Well at least you have a 1 click collection at the site! Jokes aside that kind of treatment bothers me. I just checked the chapter transfers on the commander I bought (making a new castellan) and you are right there are none for raven guard! But you know who has a lot? Ultramarines! lol Better for us to start painting our boys blue! Because in the wise and eternal words of the great beast, they will never be ultramarines...
Yea, I was pretty confused that there wasn't a Black Templars collection on the website. They're way more popular than other chapters that have the collections.
I'm sorry but if devs know they will be hurting fans? Why do it all? And they know its very popular chapter that they had to explicity address them, I'd hate to play a game called 40k eternal Crusade and not have what a majority demands to see featured in the game, developers i'm sure make this game to profit so why not spend the extra buck to make more profits later on by simply makeing a chapter for us,we win and overall they would win,i feel they being selfish how they want it made and not what the majority wants, im honestly disappointed, This game would be so much more epic if they did and included dreads aswell, Black Templars and Dreadnoughts thats all I can ask for and I'm EC fan for life
