The other day on Discord a friend shouted "Careful they have a lot of enemies there". I charged regardless. My response? "Don't worry, I know my role. I'm the team's cannon fodder".
I don't think we can trust the world map yet. I'm not arrogant enough to believe I single handedly change win rates, but since the latest patch my latency has been so bad I can't even play. I averaged at 250 latency, spiked to 1100, had trouble getting inside a damn Rhino it was so bad and couldn't contribute to the fight. Now, it's not just me, I naively tried to group up in the hopes it was just a poor connection on my part, but while I was failing to be able to join I heard group members complaining about the lag. For me it was so bad I got dropped out of the menu screen, but for others its been lagging to hell. In this regard I don't think we can get a proper judge of balance because the game is not running well for I presume a significant minority. What I do know is that after a test the Mark of Tzeentch Sorcerer is brought down to 25% health(armor completely gone) after a single Combat Knife power attack. No, it's definitely not all good with balance. I think when they improve stability this will become painfully apparent.
true but this could be way more mirror balanced it is effect a shooter not a rpg and all that is different is weapon setups that is it ... whereas wow has classes / spells / abilities that far outmatch anything EC has the balance issue with EC is becoming more of a pia than a game of skill and cover / tactical use bolters are bolters ... power swords are the same only difference should be with the support classes spell wise / etc gimping a whole class and adding whole new abilities really is not on the top list of want we the players would like to see ... making the game more 'deep' is going to do 2 things .. make people like it more or the opposite its that simple
Hmmmmm, that doesn't seem quite right..... Better!, Lash planet fall fixed that. Kudos to VI for holding out very solidly in two Zedek matches when other groups, even in the LSM coalition were being overrun.
That's not because they keep adding FOTM classes, that's because they keep doing swing nerfs of over 20% mid-content cycle to core abilities with minimal testing. They don't look at damage charts, they deliberately design classes and specs to be flavor of the month, and they design abilities based on biases for classes their designers don't even main on live. I am convinced that big game designers have ulterior motives that go beyond game design based around manipulation of their player base/feedback cycles.
Why wouldn't a subscription based game constantly "fix and break" things? Gotta keep things stirring perpetually to keep those monthly dollars.
