Actually, my favorite example from Blizztard was the Gladiator class, which was canned as soon as it was introduced because of their clownish inability to even explain the class to the people who were using it, let alone their raid partners. I remember when I saw the Glyph of Shield Slam for the first time, and I thought, "If they ever make Protection have even semi-viable DPS...." Then Gladiator came out, and pre-release they nerfed arms and fury to the ground and within a week Glyph of Shield Slam was annihilating Disc Priest and Resto druids. Because I knew from playing prot that the uptime on shield slam was maybe 4.5 seconds? So every 4 seconds you were stripping off HoTs and/or a buff. So within one week they nerfed the damage by 20% and removed Glyph of Shield Slam from the PvP, making it non-viable overnight. It's that kind of lack of foresight that is really inspiring when it happens to multi million dollar studios run by over a hundred developers. Gladiator went from being the only PvP spec before arena launch to being garbage canned for the entire expansion pack. It was introduced and removed from the game within one xpac. That takes real chops in terms of being clueless.
