After playing Orks up to Rank 3, and LSM up to Rank 5, I've noted and experienced that Orks have almost everything Space Marines get in terms of loadout versatility, while even getting more in some cases. The only place I see them fall short is in the Dok, wherein he can't take a primary. But he does get spammable poison grenades and a poison slugga, thereby balancing out that shortcoming. They get a ground assault that can capture while being able to take a SHIELD. Their default shootas have twice the magazine capacity of a bolter with the same amount of damage and accuracy. And the WAAGH!!! Speaks for itself... Please tell me where the LSM can get a leg up on Orks because GravGuns don't do much health damage, which is where Orky skin shines.
Dunno bout that... I'd pick the side that has assault rifle wielding necromancers and targeting bots.
210.9 DPS for bolter 224 DPS for shoota since shoota has more DPS it has less accuracy. its balanced. calculated by (RPM*DMG/M) since bolter can take drum or box mags the shoota only has a mag advantage of 10 or 20 with their own drum mag that doesn't matter either. orks do have advantages though. cap key ground assault and you can take a rocket launcher as melee too...
Sure. LSM is the most powerful faction currently, Orks the least. Consider melee reach. Every swing from a non-ork travels double the distance. You can spam RMB and catch up to running Eldar especially with auto-lock, but Orks can't catch up to anyone. If the target backtracks, orks will miss while everyone else will hit in melee. They've slow combat animations, particularly the D-bash, which like every attack has half the reach so it won't hit as often. Poison and healing grenades. Orks are big and visible, can be one-shotted in melee by accident, while the apothecary's versions are tiny and requires you to shoot them. They even throw their things faster than the painboy. Of course, the orks like most lack the super OP servoskull or vials that reduce damage up to 30%. Frag grenades have a bigger AoE than stikkbombs for the same cost. Trukks can't shoot at targets close to the trukk, as the sights get obscured by the vehicle itself. Rhinos comparatively can shoot at anything, and the difference in ease of driving is very noticable. Same with the predators vs ork tanks, which are superior. If you want to destroy vehicles, LSM is the best faction in the game for that. Gravs, Meltas, lascannons, powerfists, they've the biggest arsenal. Orks are stuck with the rokkit launcha, which is heavily nerfed. You need to stand a bit away from a vehicle to shoot at it, which means that you can be shot at as well. Meltas don't have that issue. So orks expose themselves against vehicles, while everyone else is safe vs manned ork vehicles if they get close. The reload timer is fairly big, and most "hits" won't even kill opposing infantry. I've gotten to level 6 three times for each of LSM and orks, and right now I believe that LSM would be extreme if they ever got something like the CSM autocannon. It's the only thing they lack and while there are situations where one feels that pain, it's good that they lack something. Orks are pretty much forced into range and while that suits the current meta where range is far more powerful, that might not always be the case.
i dunno, maybe LSM have a leg up because we orks have less accurate and harder to control basic guns that shoot faster and have higher recoil. or maybe because LSM get Grav Weapons that completely shut down melee or maybe because you get AV primaries on both your Tac's and Dev's or maybe because you get a 120LP wrist mounted chainsword on your Boltgun carring necromancers (which can wear both rather easily compared to the doks useless 200LP version) or maybe because your Grenades actually have reliable AOE damage compared to ork variants or maybe it's the early to get Servo Skull your tac can use the give everyone in the vicinity 30% ranged damage buffs or maybe it's how easily LSM can camp in defense with all the ranged damage they can aquire or maybe it's you melee being faster in every tier compared to ork melee, and doesnt bug out half the time or maybe it's OR MAYBE IT'S HOW ANY DAMN PAINBOY WOULD RATHER TAKE YOUR DAMN APOTH AND PLAY WITH THAT RANGED POTENTIAL AFTER THE RECENT SUPPORT NERFS, WHICH YOUR SAID SUPPORT GOT THE LEAST OF! also Ork Sluggas with shields are known to be (or at least try to be) the LAST person to want to cap the point, normally they function similar to bodyguards for Vets or medics, or for whatever slugga or shoota is capping at the moment, sure they can cap but the Devs explained when orks were first coming in that they wanted there to be a large majority of shootas and sluggas in games of orks, explaining why they get the most options available, and why they both can capture a point and get such variety in tools.
Compare it to the Big Shoota, lol. Acting like anyone with a decent brain takes a regular Shoota. SMH. Might as well just use a pistol.
