And how many are they losing because no xeno content has been shown or even talked about? Trying to quantify these things is like trying to calculate the financial market response to a viral video exploring the philosophical musing of an uncomfortable Duck. However if you consider that bE is being transparent and verbose about the mehrines and their progress, but not saying anything about xenos, then this translates as a negative message about the xenos in EC. It may not be intentional, but it should be expected. People generally won't believe in something they can't see. If they can see it at least they can believe it will get better. Wraithguard have always been EC's terminator equivalent for Eldar. I don't celebrate New Years. I resent it*. Same old sh*t again and again. *I find optimism disturbing. It suggests a dark history that needs glossing over with reckless hope. Pessimism on the other hand brings expectations into line with reality and leaves plenty of opportunity for pleasant surprises. I.e. "yeah, the cat threw up on the easily cleanable tiles this time" or "at least the car crash didn't break my wanking hand" or even "Bloody hell! The team didn't mention core gameplay or say SoonTM when asked about xenos"
Well aren't you Mr positive... We have actual test product for?? A year? Marines to start... Makes sense doesn't it? One set of animations diff skins. Weapons... Same. Test get combat ect working intro xenos. Hey I am an eldar player. I want it as much as the next but be realistic maybe? Or dont, won't hurt mosts feelings anyway.
Well we all have our opinions and perspectives. In many cases we can agree to disagree. I for one am a satisfied player and will patiently wait for them to release what they deem good quality. Its a good thing. Once again optimism vs pessimism, but we can agree, ideally it would be great if they delivered, which I think they will. Enjoy the day !
Find it rather humorous all the sturm und drang via a particular poster, when Ork players are definitely still stuck in the elevator and have been rather awesome about it, considering the circumstance.
It's suppose to be a little humorous As for Orks being awesome about being stuck in an elevator, well...they probably broke it in the first place. Plus all they need to do is believe it works then the waaagh voodoo will sort the rest out.
The team has said a lot of times Eldar soon, and all those times there has not been Eldar soon. The team then stopped making promises they knew they couldn't keep and all us Xenos players stopped complaining a long time ago about not seeing or hearing anything about Eldar. We get little snippits from Twitch questions or when Nathan or one of the Devs lets something slip and that's okay because it's already been so long, so waiting any longer really won't change much. The players who were going to leave for not seeing Xenos have probably already turned their attention elsewhere. Nathan said he thought it would be nice to have some display of Eldar for Xmas, we know the Devs are working on them and we've had specific details i.e. seeing what happens when Space Marine animations are applied to Eldar models and moving in to Mo-Cap, we know it's happening. But the team hasn't shown anything that wasn't "done" or to a decent standard in ages (but don't quote me on that) so if what they have for Eldar isn't done, it isn't done.. Keeping in mind we know they're still working on Marines and the game in general. It's also been implied in the Twitch's that the timeline has been pushed back (i.e. saying the loadout system wouldn't be coming until January or February). The fact they're genuinely being worked on is actually the best thing we've heard in a long time about the Eldar and I'm glad for it. I won't get drawn in to the whole pessimism/optimism thing, but I've experienced both to an extreme and it's a very easy decision to pick the better one. Outside the text wall, I want the statute of doom with Warp-Cannon too! -raises hand- PICK ME! I'm Iyanden and everything!
