Try "hey, before adding subwoofers, a stereo and heated seats, why don't we stick to the basics and make sure the suspension works first". Stay classy.
Lets be honest, the only purpose other factions serve is to give us Space Marines interesting & unique enemies to kill and for the time being, I am content with what we have.
I was mostly hung up on Nathans words that it was never the plan to release more factions. I seem to remember them saying in the past that they wanted to eventually include them all.
I remember something similar. I'm guessing that it boils down to "wanting" and "planning" are different things. Another faction was never on the roadmap, and now it looks like it never will be based on what has or hasn't occurred.
Devs are probably also sick of the constant bitching on balancing 4 factions much less adding a fifth, good job.
Currently the game is not successfull enough i guess to keep it running. Im not sure if it has allready paid of the money they had spent to develop it in the first place, and in that case it may be even better to run the game until they are even (with a little bonus) and drop it, sad as it sounds. 10 year development plan? Ugh... not sure Sadly, there is no statistic on how much cosmetic was allready sold and such. The ones i see running around in full cosmetic are mostly founders, and they got a lot of RTC in the first place
How do you make money on a game that said they will not do pay to win, they also give away lots of RTC so most skins you want you can get. and how many out of the free to play will purchase the full game... and still that will not be a sustained income! maybe the incoming gear/classes ect will be sold in a pack! (but is that not PtW? )
Myself, bought the initial warrior pack! Then foolishly, and blinded, i acquired also the captain pack when they made all that fuss about early play. Got me 190.000 RTC. I bought 3 cosmetics for Chaos and i still feel they are just less "meh" than the standard set. Only bought the "screaming" bolter, and ONLY when they implemented the sound. Bought shoulders, chest, and shoulder trim, for my ultra smurf to make it a real 1st company Smurf....with Campaign RTC. Bought 1 shoulder for my ork, with campaign RTC. And that's it....No other cosmetic really convices me to buy them. And now with another 16K faction RTC from fail service.. Maybe with future content...Right now mostly cosmetics are Meh.... Still have about 190.000 RTC...so nothing really changed. So i imagine. If i have the credits, and don't buy them....i wonder if ppl actually pay money to buy them...and what %
Fans are their own worst enemy. This is the danger of any competitive multiplayer game unfortunately. You could have the best game ever and still many of the reviews will be complaining about balance issues mainly because we as humans have never been particularly good at accepting defeat and there for have to invent external causes for them a lot of the time. You see it in many competitive situations. Saying that.. ELDAR OP!
I would like to see Squats even if they are added as a DLC that costs significantly more than the ones now. A pack with exclusive weapons that costs more I think would justify a higher price like the founder packs. Adding another faction would revive some hope in this game for all those people who are calling EC a dead game and may be a good PR move.
