  1. Galen Galen Arkhona Vanguard

I found the bugs that came with it immersion breaking to the point i didnt touch rome2 for a couple of months!

For me its a slippery slope we shouldnt tread.
At one point Slaanesh will need to be added, boy wont that be fun with no mature rating.

It also begs a question of how it will affect customization in general, Chaos is gory as hell, Orks are no honor students either.
I have a gut feeling it will come to bite everyone on the ass at one point as we add more and more of the universe into the game, those other things being no more child friendly then the current ones.
Wonder how dolled up the Dark Eldar will be to conform to the rating.
  3. Tureilim Tureilim Prefectus

Dark Eldar will just be dark elves in bikinis.
Slaanesh will just be pink and purple marines with extra spikes.
    ...
    I'm feeling insulted already--
Cmon, Behaviour. "T" is not for the game.
Crypto, Locutus, Zaeryn and 4 others like this.
  4. Serg Serg First Blood!

What we will see from slaanesh will only be sonic weapons. Nothing else can go under M rating.

I hoped that my Khorne Berzerker will have some enemy skin on his armor and few heads as trophies on his belt. But I don't see it now without M rating. I hoped to see the gore that is in Killing Floor 2, but now I don't know if EC will have something more than execution with some blood.

I guess the idea would be that more people will be playing if you lower the rating to T, stopping it from being dead. However, why would it matter if it's F2P where everyone could just download and play it without buying it first? Well... I don't think they're aiming to bring the game to markets where these things are heavily restricted, like China for example. That's a big market but I doubt that 40k is very popular in those markets to begin with. Also doesn't seem to be about the console versions, Loadout is F2P on PS4 and has an M rating for violence and sexual themes/nudity. So no idea why they're shying away from going M.

Daemonettes are just crab people now.

    It's as was said before:

For those regions that aren't fans of overt gore -- Lock the options on the blood scale to "off."

For the ROTW -- Leave the scale on. Allow those who dont want gore for either comfort or performance purposes to turn it down, or off, and allow the Khornates to get their quarter-hourly blood baths to keep the voices at bay.

If there isn't an option in the game for this -- Please, make one.
  7. I would much rather have an M rating to keep the 40K feel.

Could they have DLC that adds mature content (Skulls, gory executions, some "offensive" stuff for Dark Eldar/Slaanesh, etc)?
Maelstrom, Galen and Kilrane like this.
  8. Slaughter your Enemies!!! Destroy all that precious to them!!!! Leave no one Alive!!!!.....
    *sees no M rating*
    Wait... I mean....
Hug your Enemies!!!Bathe them in Gifts of their precious things!!! Wish all Live a Good life!!!!

Problem is that the only reason they would put a lower rating on is to get the younger people in and increase the population. That however isnt as its cracked up to be if you look at it deeper.
Its meant to lure the people we once were, teens (well i assume some of us in the community still are).
And what did we as teens do, jump from game to game constantly.
Everyone i knew as a teen including myself acted like vagabonds, jumping from game to game, from MMO to MMO.

And i have the feeling the same will happen here. They lower the rating to get a bigger sales number on launch day and the following months, those same teens get the new flavor of the month and leave, and the devs end up left with the more dedicated fans to the game/universe who didnt want the Teen rating to begin with.

In my subjective opinion, its working at the detriment of the fans for a potentially bigger buck in your pocket on launch day.

  10. You are being ridiculous just because you want an M rating!

It's not like you can't still give them hang nails, nuggies and indian burns!
    Djemo-SRB and Tureilim like this.
