  1. If they didn't take a shit then Space Marines would keep gaining mass until their colons literally exploded, unless they sweat out used nutrients, which would mean Space Marines sweat piss. Pretty sure that's not how their biology works. I'd imagine power armor has a waste disposal system so they don't need to drop their drawers while on campaign, but I'm certain the reason that there's no mention of Space Marines on the crapper is because it serves no narrative purpose plus talking about such common biological needs would humanize them.

Why are we talking about this again...

It's better that the mon'kiegh argue about worthless ideas while we plan. =p I have never understood their fascination with their bodily functions.

I read that SM stomachs were enhanced to digest everything so that there wouldn't be any waste left in their bodies. Like they say: NO SHIT, NO PROBLEM, literally.

Ahh, how I love you all my small, cuddly heretics and xenos. What would I do without you?

I spent all last week traveling on the west coast, getting more money for the war god so I wasn't writing anything nor did I spend time on the forums answering all the psykers that all know exactly what I'm thinking and what I will do next.

Maybe I should just stop interacting and let you all read my mind. This transparent game development seems to be pretty much shit anyways, as everyone loves reading between the lines and the selective reading is getting to epic proportions. I can't be bothered reading through the repeated opinions of how all this fails, not to mention if people have problems with all the successful profitable games I've made - despite you personally don't like them. I mean, why bother? I'd rather spend my entire time making the game.

I've also added three interviews to the original post, it will give you some insight while I find some time somewhere to write the all upcoming SotCs, although I would prefer spending that leading my team towards Founders Access. Or making sure, as a single father, that my kids don't end up in mental institutions or rehab. You know, family stuff.

So get the fuck civil. If you want to talk experience, my experience in transparent development has something far closer to "zero tolerance" than you've been accustomed to here.

I have no problems increased the policies to that level so that constructive criticism and well found opinions stay here - but this silly infighting, and assumptions on what I am saying or thinking is just getting old and a surefire way to make sure none of the rest of the team ventures in here to interact with you. You might even have noticed that absence yourself. So think about that for a while.

You want more interaction? Try being civil like you were talking directly to our faces. It's how real life works.
  5. we know what you were doing there!

    on a more serious note
    you shouldnt care to much
there are always idiots on the internet. you shouldnt put the good founders on a disadvantage cause of this

so stay the lovely teddy bear we love! <3

    @Oveur

You're probably right but asking people not to be stupid is like asking Orks not loot. Just put a development roadmap to release that you update every week and go do the actual productive stuff. Like leading your team or ensuring your kids don't end up despots because they didn't see you enough. SOTCs are nice but they don't provide an overarching picture of how development is going which can be frustrating for people, this way you have a centralized source of info about development where idiots can go stare at. So there's more threads about "OH MAN I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR SPANDEX IN GAME" instead of "CURSE THAT BOOB, NATHAN." because you're awesome.

Here's some examples of good informative roadmaps. I like the Trello one used by Fractured Space especially since it allows the community to vote on features they want to see.

Have a great day and keep up the great work, Warmaster.

  7. God daMMIT you beat me to it....

Maybe he shoudl jsut talk to the awesome founders that do respect him and ignore those idiots that cry every second about anything.

Also for the roadmap thing idk if EC wants to do that yet since they still trying to get EC running for FA, Right after FA starts i can see a roadmap being very beneficial for them to use but right now with so many unknowns and things that have to be kept in the dark for now it might not be best course of action, Ofc tho IF Nathan does think it is a proper way to go i would love to see it .

    Thank you!

And also, sorry, but we can't maintain a public facing roadmap like that. Those are small indy developers. Ours changes much faster, we're agile and we respond to iterations and change to find fun. It would simply all be misunderstood and cause more confusion. What you'll see are the major milestones, and then when we enter Founders Access, you'll be pretty much be getting every single sprint deployed out to Founders Access.

Create value, get it into the hands of the customers, get feedback, respond and change.

You're kidding right? My "creative" writing is shit, especially as English is my third language. I also speak Danish, Icelandic, Swedish and Norwegian and I understand German. Actually Faroese too and I can order food and a taxi in Chinese.

But Creative writing is probably the last thing anyone would accuse me of. I think the problem is more that people like selectively reading what I'm saying straight, and instead create massive conspiracy theories by reading between the lines.

When I say "I don't know yet" it literally means, "I don't know yet". If you can show me how that is creative writing, I'd be quite interested.

Cool down Nathan, this thread has had some very toxic inputs - they're not worth getting worked up about.
Some individuals are very toxic and very vocal, but they don't represent the average founder, they don't even represent the average guy/girl on the forum.
Though some of us disagree with some of your decisions regarding this game, most of us understand why you had to make them and even more of us have faith that this game will be a success, despite it launching a little later than we would have liked and despite pikko servers not being usable yet.
So on the whole, don't let the toxicity get to you. Oh, and don't take this as an insult, but you might want to rethink the wording of your initial reaction ;-)
