hopefully they do, and hopefully they arent retartedly enemies with the space marines--or at least, can ally with them without too much trouble.
@Lavender Because maybe they are not doing it wrong, perhaps they choose to add the icons because of the cool looks, perhaps in their mind they have a homegrown ordos that is an arm of the inquisition that is not written down in lore, perhaps they think it would be cool to add them, perhaps this is their custom made army of SoB and the fictional story has them as part of SoB. Whatever the reason, it does not need to be "Wrong", and because they might just have made it because they only think warhammer 40k SoB looks cool, so they add lots of cool crap on it and viola looks good.
technically, its not in any dictionary, and isnt a word. ironic would be the word used where you used ironical.
Being in a dictionary doesn't give it word status. If it can bear meaning to native speakers and fits within the structure of the language, it can be a word. I took Traditional Grammar and Usage last semester and I'm in Linguistics right now. I'm being force fed this stuff. Dictionaries are not authorities. They're simply used to compile information where it can be easily referenced. The word he used isn't standard English but a native speaker could understand him, so it's grammatical and a word. The poem Jabberwocky is the perfect illustration of this. Many of the words have no meaning in standard English, yet we understand them.
Ah Jaberwocky. Quite the poem lol. Anyway, you have a point. ironical just sounds...bad...to me. it bugs me. not sure why--but go ahead I guess. I generally don't have a problem with that type of thing, but that word...
Hmmm...it actually exist in dictionaries. i·ron·i·cal [ahy-ron-i-kuhl] Show IPA adjective 1.pertaining to, of the nature of, exhibiting, or characterized by irony or mockery: an ironicalcompliment; an ironical smile. 2.using or prone to irony: an ironical speaker.
dictionaries? or google? doesn't make a difference though.. goddamnit. that word just bugs me. it sounds so...GAH!
