I'd try to give Matt Ward some level of forgiveness, but then I remember that he pretty much turned Iyanden into Biel-Tan 2.0 with that supplement.
Nothing compares what he did to the Iron Hands. He turned them from being zealous somewhat assholes, to being absolute fucking assholes bordering on heresy for letting a full company of Raven Guard die simply because they viewed them as weak. Not to mention that Ferrus Manus either created or on some level, is a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh.
Nah, it wasn't that bad. The worst that happened to the Ultramarines were those shitty McNeil books where he turned them into bumbling idiots.
Yeah, Ward and McNeil are just as bad as each other. One turns the Codex into a bible, the other throws it out the window.
Oh, just the Iron Hands Supplement which had godawful fluff and turned the Iron Holes assholery up to eleven.
