Sorry I realize this was confusing, and it was late and I was tired when I was going through this in my head. My confusion is why this split seemed so unclear at first. What seemed unclear was the relationship the two companies have to one another when you are looking at it from the Steam page. I was aware of the NDAs and things involved with Eternal Crusade and how super spooky under the rug it was when it was on Steam in its initial alpha stages and wasn't sure if there was something in there that made the split make more sense. I was also interested if this was a common practice, or if this is something more unique to this developer. As I was writing and re-editing the first part of this as I was putzing around the internet trying to find answers I feel like I turned it into something less "The hell is this?" and more "How dare you lie to me!". Truth be told this started as just real curiosity because it seems to do more harm than good, unless there is something else going on. Not even anything nefarious, could be just normal common practice in the development community that I haven't quite noticed. But someone answered my question, apparently this was answered in a live stream (Don't know how I missed that while looking this up prior to posting) and I'll go there.
