Due to severe flooding issues from a lab above us, which we don't know anything about what they are doing, like whether it's radiated or biological weapons, I'm going to do a simulated twitch. Because we might die from radiation or something. We should have new equipment by next week so I hope this is the only one I have to do.

    What's on the show?
    • Flooding that ruins our equipment
    • Production Update (Vehicles, bolt weapon balancing, drop pods, defense map)
    • Swimplay (Promethium pool)
    • Q&A / Swimaways
Who's in the room? Brent (me), Nathan (me), Katie (also me).

Katie: Hello everyone and welcome to this imagined twitch that's happening right now, in your mind!
Brent: Yes, we had some problems but we're wearing swimsuits, so it's not so much of a problem. However, our notes for the twitch are all wet so we can't read them.
    Nathan: I'm Nathan.

Katie: First, we take a look at the flooded equipment.
Brent: I'll swim over and take a look so you can see. See, it's pretty wet.
Nathan: This water is not hot enough to be a hot tub. Take me to the hot tub.

Katie: And this brings us to the production update. Swim back Brent.
Brent: Yes. Since I can't show you on the computers, as they are wet and starting to glow green of radiation, I will do this with interpretive dancing and telepathy. You are now seeing the vehicles move much smoother and better to handle.
Nathan: Water is still not hot enough.
Brent: And as you can see here in your mind, the bolters have been rebalance, in terms of fall-off, headshot multiplier and water resistance. That means the various bolters are now much more distinct, even the pistol.
Nathan: Yes, they still seem to shoot people in the head.
Brent: Yes, thank you Nathan for shooting me in the head.
Nathan: Sorry. The water isn't hot enough yet.

Katie: Let's move on to these awesome drop pods.
    Nathan: Are they waterproof? TROLOLOLOLO
Brent: Nathan stop it. Get serious. It's not like we're drowning yet. But yes, we have a lot of ideas about how to used drop pods, like commander abilities and such. Pretty cool.
    Nathan: I'm Nathan

Katie: Now imagine a defense map.
Brent: It has walls and very defensive.
Nathan: This imagining stuff isn't working very well you know.
    Brent: At least we're trying.
    Katie: Yes, A for effort!
Nathan: Told you we should have done the cooking show today. The equipment would have been in the kitchen.

Katie: Time for swimplay! This is the Promethium pool.
Brent: Nathan, what are you doing with that lighter ...
    Katie: Nathan ...
Nathan: I am the Nathan! Hot tuuuuuuuub!!

Nathan: Sorry about the burn marks.
    Katie:
    Brent:
Nathan: OK then. Let's do Q&A!

Nathan: This one is from Nathan, did this affect any of the development team?
Nathan: No, we're 300 people here and this was in another part of the building, where our twitch room is. We're still full speed ahead on giving founders access to closed alpha - and start the real involvement of founders in the development of the Eternal Crusade.

Nathan: Again for Nathan. How has the recent departures affected the team?
Nathan: None of them were good, it's always sad to have team members leave. Some of these were people that have been with this project for many years, all the way back to Funcom. But we've gotten great people on board as well, Noah has been loudmouthing on the forums and was the Lead Game Designer on EVE Online for many years. Brent, our Lead Game Designer lying over there, is also assuming most of the responsibilities as Creative Director, having worked years on the project, with David Ghozland. Oh, and Michael Chan is back too. He has opinions.

Nathan: This one is from Nathan as well! When are founders getting access to closed alpha?
Nathan: We've been playtesting, polishing, balancing and fixing stuff. We now count it in weeks.
Katie: You did this on purpose, so you could dominate the show.
Nathan: Hey, you can speak again! What's that grenade for? And why is Brent holding my mouth open?

    *THWOMP*

Katie: Here is one from Brother Nemiel. Can you elaborate on the plan how EC will be evolving from a traditional lobby shooter (and to be honest which will be free-for-all in an instant) to a tactical shooter where it will be crucial to form squads and stick to the tactics and overall strategy? We heard in the last twitches that pushing people into uniform squads via boni for e.g. all tactics is not your plan so what else do you have in mind?
    Brent: I AM BRENT.
    Katie: We know that.
Brent: Sorry. All our game systems and objectives, game modes etc. are all focused on a more tactical and strategic experience, where squad leaders can affect the overall effectiveness of squads, the composition of a squad will matter – but also more importantly, the reason for starting so early, giving founders access to closed alpha, is to playtest this and evolve it based on real scenarios. Not imaginary scenarios in our heads.

Katie: Hralius asks, What kind of "MMO lobby enviroment" can we expect with founder’s access? Will there be social features such as guilds and friends, maybe steamfriends?
Katie: Would be nice if Nathan stops whining about the grenade in his mouth thing. Then he could answer this question.
Brent: I’ll have a demon possess him so he can talk again.
    Nathan: WE ARE NATHAN
Katie: Well, that certainly turned out great. Now we have many of him. Faaaan-friggin-tastic.
Nathan: The closed alpha is very much directly matchmade into a match and shoot. It will evolve but to begin with this is about *hnnnggggggg* SHOOT FACES.
Nathan: Sorry, that was the other me.
    Nathan: SHUT UP FILTH

Katie: Jericho wants to know, What is the one thing you are most excited to tell us about but can't yet ? :)
Brent: Only Nathan can answer a question like that.
Nathan: We feel what we’re doing to Nathan right now to affect the direction of the game to grimmer, darker …
    Nathan: Shut up.

Katie: Here is one from … erh … Algurneono Setonasisomething. After game release, does BeHavior have any intention of having Faction specific pioneer packs available for $10? I know my guild would be willing to buy our members $10 packs for space marine access.
Nathan: No, that’s not planned. The only faction scheduled to be available like that after launch are the FILTHY ORK SCUM IN GREEN TIDES.

Katie: That’s it for today, we have to tie Nathan down and exorcise him but first, one giveaway! A pack upgrade and we’re going to have Brent randomly select who gets its based on the questions.
Brent: Well, Jericho certainly, he poses an impossible question, which still was intruiging.
Katie: We hope you’ll be patient with us and come see us again on September 4th when we have all our equipment replaced and studio set up again. If you want to see the flooding, we have a video on our Facebook page.
Brent: I also have to get back to work on closed alpha, remember to get your Captain’s pack to get in early. It’ll be pretty good.
Katie: What … erhm. What about Nathan over there?
Brent: Put another grenade in his mouth, and just leave him there? See if that fixes him?
    Katie: Good plan
