same problem here . used my login ID & password and sign in failed (even with bitdefender off). i log in successfully with login ID & password on the website. So what's the deal ? i am correctly assuming i must use the sames IDs right ? EDIT : Ok it was bitdefender ! turning off the firewall wasn't enough, i had to turn off AV & other "protection"...
tried again tonight, removed bitdefender total internet 2015 from my pc. clean booted and STILL getting my email account in game code saying the email is invalid. My ID & Password i have also changed on the website, back and forth between 2 passwords and still can not get access to this game !
This is unacceptable. I understand putting the game up on steam for early access, but not even having the game reliably accessible for login? I'm getting a refund through Steam. I'll check again before the current sale is up, otherwise I'll be waiting til this game is on sale again. I refuse to use Paypal because of their allowing their political beliefs into their business practice, so I waited for this to be purchasable through Steam... I hate that I didn't get a founder's pack, but I hate paypal more. So, when this game can be logged into like EVERY other game I own, I'll pay for it again. But as it stands right now, i've "played" this game for 13 minutes, and I every bit of that has been trying to log in. I shouldn't have to go through steps of disabling stuff to play that no other game I have has to do. Fix it and let me know.
Okay so far i have tried the following. Now please note, i have played the alpha testing BEFORE the latest patching and steam launch, and have played the game. Since the last update, i reluctantly Reinstalled the game client I have Removed Bitdefender / disabled Windows defender (that kicks in once i lose bitdefender) i have logged into this website ( hence the forum posts) i have changed my password via the website 6 times to 2 passwords i use. I have scanned and re-verifyed all data files via steam Just last night via the game client i was able to " find " my email and was sent the recovery email. Changing the password numerous times again back and forth and still the game client says Sign in failed. now in the background of the logon screen there is our name, but its USING my steam client name <> with all those numbers behind it (jumps around the screen) what i want to know is the game client now using a STEAM logon or the old client ID code to logon ??
can confirm this is still an issue. what login is it asking i cant use this account because it says not available, cant create a new acct with the same email and name beacause its not available. no idea what to do. I have to get some sort of notification soon, because steam will only refund after a certain ammount of time.
it is a firewall problem disable every firewall for the duration of login will solve the problem be aware that some of you might have to ask the admin of your network to turn of the router firewall if it still doesnt work then there is still some firewall which blocks EC
