I love my Avenger but like everyone else I find they don't seem to do much of anything to anyone. To me it feels we'd be doing better with next to no spread at short to medium range but a huge drop in damage at long range. I mean we're supposed to be short-mid range killing machines that are crazy accurate and fast. And I agree with you about having the SC being like a bigger, slightly beefy-er, SP. It'd be interesting to see how that plays too. With more accurate SC weapons we'd have to be skilled, be a good shot, and quick to get your kills having a short range, super quick RoF, and really small spread would be hard to handle without some form of skill. It'd be nice to be rather accurate while firing at the hip so we can run and shoot too which might be a good way to lessen our woes.

Ye, i know. Spray n Pray happens then the high ROF and ammo pool unites in single gun - thats why we should be careful around mag size.

You can have a high rof and mag size and not be spray and pray. If the accuracy is high enough that poor aim causes you to miss then it isn't so much a spray and pray as it is a high rof sniper ish weapon. That way high skill is rewarded while poor aim is punished with no dmg.

@Kusukyu I'm with you. DA has always been easily one of my favorite classes. Recently though their power seems to have deminished against high armor and T so they're really subpar.

Honestly, if I were to change them, thing Id change is that headshots with a Shuriken have plasma levels of penetration. The TL Shuriken can retain not having the headshot damage bonous, but having DAs be those short range murder machines will require this against all the assault and close range engagements they'll be in. Not good at medium to long ranges is fine, but give us those buzz saws we can fling into faces!!

Usual reward for high skill w any gun contains our mighty Nerfmarines crying a river about how OP is it- be careful with that). Btw, how big is HS multiplier right now? Because it feels like 0,0...01%

They have no right to complain really. Because the trade off for having that amazing of a weapon is that Eldar are made out of paper. They should be this games definition of high skill glass canon faction. So making their guns weak makes them just a cannon fodder faction which isn't ok.

They already have too much say in every warhammer game as it is. Just once I'd like a 40k gmae to actually use the proper lore as a bench mark instead of using the SM faction as the baseline for how things should work.
Edit: and that goes for my ork faction as well.

For now shuriken weapons are extremely weak, perhaps stats have been changed due to many fixes, rebalancing and so on, but the core thing remained unchanged - 1 vs 1 DA cant kill even a light-armoured SM or CSM unless they have null armour - and even if they do, as it had already been mentioned, they can cover great distance with two heavy attacks and kill DA very quickly. This status quo remains unchanged from the first introduction of Eldar - a key point capturing class is useless

After playing them last night, I can agree. Shuriken weapons, even with the RoF improvement are in a pretty horrible place.. Now whether this is because of the stacked armour and toughness on everything or not bE really needs to watch what they're doing in this department.

The major problem being if they expect it to function as intended against regular toughness/armour opponents, then they need to give us avenues to raise the power of Shuriken Weapons as toughness/armour would be raised (what with all the rebalancing loadout points are supposed to be receiving).

Even then.. the Shuriken pistol currently being the best Shuriken weapon... I mean damn..

I was emptying so many Shuriken magazines (and shots in the case of the Shuriken Cannon) and it simply feels useless.

As a counter point, Scorpions are hilariously powerful, and Dragons are in a comfortable spot if lacking a little variety.
