Ummm, what I said was "I DON'T have experience, so I will trust those who do."

And, if you would like to know what was learned at E3 check this out:

That's my article on the EC roundtable that I sat in on, so I have a pretty good idea of what went on there.

  2. I think you are approaching this in a good way. And the founders packs will be available for the next 18 months so there is no hurry in your decision. I generally always feel that safe and slow is the best course. Limit your suprises and give yourself plenty of time to appraise a situation. On the other hand its only going to be 120$ and I can spend that on taking the family out to dinner. I believe the risk verusus reward in this case is pretty small.

Tomorrow won't be the only day you have to participate in the Founder's Program. If it's too early in your opinion, then wait until it's time for you to do so.

Also keep in m ind you don't NEED to lay out $120 in one shot. Wanna guarantee your place early, go for the $40 package and then bump it up later on if things turn out to your liking. There is quite a lot of flexibility built into the whole system.

I would say no due to public relations, it would not look too good for the untrained eye when they search for eternal crusade on youtube, to be greated with the videos showcased, it is better though to show those videos then nothing at all, but if the founders will be avilable for 18 months then what is the harm in waiting to release it with the full package of polished ingame gameplay and CGI with a bit more story.

Thats just my opinion, i know i am always wrong for some reason so.

  6. @Terry: When you mentioned your experience it sounded like you were trying to be rude but sorry if I misinterpreted. I read your article it was interesting I didn't know the most expensive founder's pack was going to be $120 I thought Miguel Caron said the highest wouldn't be over $100 but oh well if it's $120 I'll still probably buy it lol.

I agree. I don't see the point in launching the founder's program so early but Grigdusher said there'll be new videos tomorrow along with the launch of the founder's program so it sounds like Behaviour has a plan for all this.

Well I'm happy that I'll have 18 months to pre-order. Hopefully when Behaviour launches their new website that'll make it easier to keep track of the latest news so people don't have to dig around so much to find information. Thank you to all of you there was a lot I didn't know.

Lol, that's cool, re-reading my reply it DOES come across as rather snarky, but I honestly didn't mean it that way.

My goal on the various forums I cruise is to clear up the various misunderstandings about EC that I come across, not to put anyone down or make anyone feel bad.

Can't wait until tomorrow, so I can see the whole site, and not just bits and pieces.

It seems that tomorrow is too early for you for the reasons you have stated but I am personally fine with tomorrow; $120 is not much to me and I have been impressed with the game being developed by passionate devs who know the IP and they have Graham McNeil on board.

So please if it's too early for you that's fine but understand others are happy with it.

Also comparing buying a car to dropping $120 (or less) on a game is a bit of a stretch.
  9. If you have ever backed anything on Kickstarter you have experienced the same type of thing. You like an idea and you are putting your money behind and idea you like. You have faith / hope it will turn out and your money not wasted. But no one really knows till it happens. If that kind of risk for possible reward is not for you then wait till you are satisfied by what you see. But if you really want the bonuses and extras put your quarter in the slot baby!!

To be honest no one is being forced. If you're feeling the pressure of having to buy in thats your problem. People have thrown MUCH more money after seeing MUCH less for Kickstarters.
