Should Striking scorpions be able to fight melee classes in a stand up fight?

The point is to get them to chase you. Its called reverse kiting, Around around a corner so so they round it you one hit them as they come round. :) Works almost everytime.

Last time i tried that i got plasmaed to death.Thought to be honest im not used to stealth (either in this game or others).

I don't really like the fact that you need to pull someone , or take advantage of corner to kill. Or need the stealth to do it. It's mostly the reason why most of us are hunting rather than playing the game.

The Attack from stealth is boring for us and for the guys who got almost no chance to play. And i really hate that the counterpart is to be useless in plain sight. The stealth should only be a tactical advantage and not the only means to kill.

From the moment they have put the D-bash in the game i thought they should put a variant for the scorp who use the mandyblaster that give pen armor for a short period of time. The back stab damage from stealth is BS it never felt like it was an initiative bonus. It's just a boring way to make the scorp viable (and for others op).

As someone who plays way too much Scorpion I can tell ya you don't really get stuck ONLY doing backstabs.. I don't even have any Chainsword mods yet...

It IS more difficult, but you've got to use your environment, you don't necessarily have to reset the fight, I use stealth just for the damage bonus, all it takes is a few seconds behind a pillar or some nearby crates, wait for them to try Dbash, jump around them and charge up that Power Attack.

I'm not the best Scorpion by any measure, and I'm sure the lag we're all experiencing is playing some part here, but it's not super hard.. the REAL problem is that you're more liable to getting ganged up on, because you don't have any quick means of escape (Jump Pack) or anything real for defense (Shield/MoN/MoK).

Scorpion definitely favours a hit and run play style.. and they always seemed to me to favour it TT too (despite their stats). I think the Mandiblaster will provide a means to disengage so it'll make it easier to go that way. But otherwise I think you could just load up on armour and health and wait for the Scorpion's claw to come in.

  5. From the lore, Scorpions should be the ones to get to the fight with invis, then stick it out with their thougness.

From the lore, Banshees should run fast in, kill as fast as possible, and run away/to the next target.

    In game? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you guys want the scorpion to be more viable as a melee brawler then surely your other classes should be less so? I'm looking at you DA, Hawk, FD.

I really don't notice much of difference between them and the other races non melee classes. But that is mainly due to the fact that netcode is severely borked and the "rock, paper, scissors" idea was stupid.

Space marines don't block? Then what the fuck do they carry 8 foot tall shields for, crossfit?

Those combat knives are truly deadly!

Even with the borked net code I notice a pretty big difference between the melee capabilities of other races' ranged classes, and the Eldar's ranged classes. They do very well at present.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic but to clarify, yes they are when they swing much faster than the equivalents of other races, or when they ignore the clang and just penetrate your defences.

Have you managed to find a knife upgrade for the other races??
