  1. Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this?

I find it weird and annoying/obnoxious that I can't utilize the PC where railings or windows etc get in the way. Getting a Brace option would help alleviate this problem. I also don't see how, from a modeling/carrying standpoint, that you wouldn't be able to do it. It's no bigger really or different than the HB right now in a SM's hands, he should be able to manipulate how to hold it.

    Let's discuss it up folks!

I think a brace option would be good to allow us a position from which we cannot kill ourselves with the charged shot. Since the brace point could limit the weapon to the angles that you can safely shoot beyond a railing / sandbags etc.
  3. The last thing the PC needs right now is something to help it in anyway. The gun needs to be nerfed, not made safer for players. This is coming from someone who had originally planned to use this gun as a main weapon and though I know Bladerunner will disagree with me, I really find it much too powerful/safe to use. I often see people drop charged shots at their own feet to kill off melee units, only for them to wander off, unhurt afterwards.

  4. Unless there's truly an iframe on the Devastator evasion hop(I'm undecided if it actually exists or not) that would take some extremely good timing to not kill yourself shooting at your own feet.

I assure you that is the -only- way you'd survive, it's a guarantee kill if you get hit shooting your feet.
  5. I thought this was the case too! I was confused at what I saw. Friendly dev had 2 enemies in melee distance, dropped a charge shot at his feet, both melee guys died, the dev was just staggered. Maybe a bug... I only saw that happen one time.

I posted this suggestion recently but I'll reiterate it: the cannon (not the rifle) should shake violently when charging up a blast screwing up your aim if you are walking around. Bracing should not only be an option but NECESSARY to keep from shooting yourself from the crazy power you are pumping out.

Plasma is supposed to be dangerous not a free kill machine.

Same here. I was at first "can't wait to get good with this." ~3 Games later~ "Wow this weapon is OP as S**t"

At the moment. The only things I find bad on the Plasma Cannon are:
-Charging can be canceled with melee strike without firing.
-non-charged semi-automatic shots can instagib Jump assaults (They too squishy)

The game's supposed to be asymmetric & the Plasma Cannon is the go-to weapon for overwhelming firepower.
Currently it's status is not so much of an issue, the issue is sub-par counterparts that force the Plasma Cannon to stand out. Heavy bolter is still after a buff a bit lackluster. Lascannons are still dead & buried.

We have had many weapons fall under the op category, they get sorted in the end, either enjoy it while it lasts if your using it or grit your teeth and stick with it if you are on the receiving end
  10. Put your hatred of the PC aside and judge the weapon/class on functionality please. From a design standpoint there should be no reason a PC can't be braced on a ledge like a HB.

If you wanted to really nerf the PC though, a simple increase to CD time on overcharged shots and an ammo usage increase on charged shots would go a long way to making people less spam happy. Also putting a CD on supply crates would hamper them as well.
