It would be nice if orks had a relatively large amount of regeneration over time compared to other races, since it could bring up all sorts of interesting tactics. It would make orks very good at combat over a long period of time, since they would most likely be able to break away from combat for short periods of time, regenerating health before launching themselves back into the fray. Another interesting scenario I'm imagining is something like this: - Ork force gets ambushed by SPHESS MARINES - Ork force loses around 10% of their troops to the Space Marines before the Eldar show up. - Ork force breaks away from combat and hides a short distance away, regenerating their health and waiting for the Space Marines and Eldar to exhaust each other. -Ork force comes in at that point and kills the weakened SM's and Eldar.
Perhaps they could add a mechanic where a substantial amount of boyz gives low-level players an option to spawn to their location instead of the base to represent spore growth?
Huh, I think that would actually be a really interesting mechanic, if not a tad overpowered sometimes.
Most races could probably in some way. Space marines - Apothecary. Eldar - Farseer's Runes or something. Chaos - Ring up Ahriman to curse you up.
In the grim and dark future, there is not a lot of sunbathing. Who needs regeneration? When you get hurt you just get a mad dok to put you back together with better bitz.
It would make an interesting mechanic, but I see lots of potential balance problems coming with it. I.e. respawning hundreds of boys right in front of the objective whereas their regular spawn would be a good walk away from it.
I'm sure I read something about Orks holding two stumps together.... To the OP; yes they should Orks are tough in a way only Nurglites can understand and are known to have been beheaded then have their head stitched to another body and gone on to win the day. Perhaps they have a racial increased health Regen or a limited use power that allows them to "auto-resurrect" from their downed state X times in a 24 hour period (based on realtime not ingame time)
Maybe for p2p only. Normal ork boys don't get back up once you "kill" them. Nobs do. It's been in lore nobs have gotten back up several times from fatal wounds. The ability could be called "wotz me guts doin ova dere!" Where the nob gets back up and fighting. If f2waaaagh players got to use that the inevitable free to waaaagh I'm-not-listening-cause-I-am-better-than you zeros would be unstoppable
