I'm sure your love for HB has no weight whatsoever in your love of Fort maps. None...whatsoever..haha.
how do you create a meaningful "road block" in progression when at any given time players are all at different levels of progression? your every 10/20/30/whatever wins mark means nothing when player A might of been on the whole time and player B just logged in ... either it doesnt occur every 10/20/30 games since players are at different game marks, or they would be happening constantly as each player hit those marks individually, wether you tie them to individual player marks or faction marks there would be no consistancy as seen by the next individual player
And I love fortress maps. If I could go back to queuing only for them I would. I don't want those to disappear.
Forts are a horrible experience due top their incredibly poor optimization. There's a reason why we can now queue up with the exclusion of fortress maps, and forcing players to play those before they are perfectly smooth would be completely backwards.
This, playing with 20fps when shit is starting to get hot is lame and as such, I have no will to be forced to play a fortress map because a said faction reached X wins. Maybe once the optimization is better and fortresses are actually playable it could be an idea to dig in, but at the moment to me it's a no-no.
Personally I like the fortress maps. But imagine having to win Agnathio 3 times in a row to proceed with the campaign! I like the idea of fortress maps playing a role in campaigns; but not like this and not so I don't get to play them outside of specific campaign triggers.
I like fortress maps, but I want them to be better balanced. The cinematic experience of 15 fps isn't what I'm looking for, along with the walk on Agnathio.
