Downed teammates count as teamkills?

  1. Yes, they should be considered teamkills and punish the killer

  2. No, they should not punish the teamkiller

  3. Don't care

    Curious as to people's thoughts....

I've been kicked from the server for killing too many downed teammates....strange considering they are already down and worth the collateral if I can take out 1-3 enemies.

I voted no. I'm kind of yes, kind of no.

For the purposes of an auto kick I think they shouldn't count as a full team kill. Not that I've ever been kicked. Whatever the number of team kills required to cause an auto kick, make downed team kills cost less. So perhaps your first (unforgiven) downed team kill per match is free.

Team kills happen and mostly they're accidental or careless. Even deliberate team kills on downed team mates are not always done with malice. If someone team kills me with a frag to catch someone trying to execute me I will forgive. And anyway the execute animation sometimes pulls a team mate into the line of fire.

Players should always be aware they scored a team kill, that notification shouldn't be removed. On downed players that shouldn't have the same punishment.

You are supposed to kill the enemy to find a way to pick them up not kill your downed team mate ya git!

I know this. I also know 3 enemies trying to score the execute on a team mate then a nade is sometimes the answer. I'll take my nil xp as long as my mercy kill bags 3 gits in the process. Those are good numbers. 3 for the price of 1 is acceptable losses. :OrkGoff:

Not if you get kicked out of da server like @Fiesty_Won.

I think I've been kicked out of a game once and that was because there wasn't an enemy to fight (they all quit out of the match) so I smacked the boys around for scaring em off!
  7. While normally it's whatever, in matches with limited redeploy tickets, this should totally count as tk. Also it wb great if instead of forgiving every damned time, system worked other way around. Like when you get downed by a comrade, you have an option to report tk and increase players tk score. Cause I don't want to forgive everyone, when I jump in the hive to draw foes around me and give someone a good aoe shot, I want to redeploy and continue to spread chaos and not to press damn button for a damn minute, cause shi~ is unresponsive. Something like that

  8. I've never been kicked for excessive teamkilling, it sounds like you do a lot of AoE or something like that to be taking out team mates to the point of kick, downed or not.

I'm a bit ambivalent about it, largely because it's situational. On defense maps for Ticket maps for example, you really shouldn't be careless about taking out those who can be revived, yet there are also situations where yes, they're dead anyways and you can take out a threat by being ruthless. I've found that most of the time allies recognize when they were doomed and are pleased enough to see you kill their killer that they'll forgive a TK on their downed state. That's why there's a forgiveness system.

As I said, if you're getting to the point that allies aren't forgiving you and getting kicked because of it you should consider if there's something wrong with what you're doing, not the system, cause I really don't think this is an issue, its never effected me.

As some have mentioned it depends on the volume, if you nade a team member just as a healer was going to them then I doubt your gonna get a forgive, if you do it when 3 peeps are squabbling over who gets to execute then I expect peeps would forgive you - at least the first time, if your in a position to kill peeps attempting executes multiple times why weren't you in a position to help the actual fight before the dude got downed

I could not agree more. If you get kicked it means you have a bad play style. I've teamkilled team mates and been teamkilled but I've never been kicked. Ive eveen killed those 3 guys and saved the downed player, do try to reconsider what you are doing on the battle field.
